NCHSAA says all outdoor activities must be suspended when the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) or heat index reaches 90°F or higher. Looks like we're dealing with that. Are there any changes to Thursday/Friday football games due to the heat wave?
Just posted JV starting at 730. Varsity at 8 for Hibriten.@beamer24 are you guys moving your games back as well?
Supposed to play to agreed upon time at the beginning. 8 minutes is good for small JV teams that have kids going both ways. I prefer 10's with JV myself. It is still going to be in the mid 90's at kickoff so some schools may cancel JV games or move them to Monday.Thinking outside the box: JV teams could play 8-minute quarters in first half and then change to 12 minutes in second half. After halftime break it might "cool down" to 80.
I'm thinking JV games use 10-minute quarters as a standard.Supposed to play to agreed upon time at the beginning. 8 minutes is good for small JV teams that have kids going both ways.
