If you're not a JoeBot, then why are you concerned?
Many/most of the "we deserve better" crowd are JoeBots. Because they have turned Joe into an actual god, and forgotten/forgiven all the non-good things that happened during his reign, they've determined that the relatively brief period of football dominance Joe had defines his entire reign, and that all successors need to be held to that mythical standard, as well. "We" deserve that ... "we" deserve better. Really, though, amongst JoeBots, the "we deserve better" push is just a way to highlight that the current pretender coaches don't measure up to JoePa (the mythical version of him, of course). They just want to continue worshipping the statue, they don't want to move on. They actually don't want a successor to do better - as that would sully the myth of JoePa's superiority (again, never mind he only won big with a serial child molester as his chief architect of defensive success and his second in command).
