Daren Fritz has been named the head coach at Falls City. He was previously head coach at Falls City for 10 years or so. Most recently working for Peru State football.

Cambridge a revolving door of coaches? Where is Rice going? He’s the head wrestling coach there and I don’t see that mentioned.

Don’t many districts prohibit admins from coaching? I know small districts do it out of necessity, but Central City seems large enough they’d be against it

If he's already the DC as sup, it would appear that it's not prohibited...though maybe they'd draw a line between head and assistant.

But, being head guy and sup of a district that size...that would be a busy schedule.

I think it can be done, done well, and should be allowed. I just know that some districts do not allow it. The bigger districts usually don’t. School boards push for the admins to focus on admin duties and would prefer they are not districted or putting their primary duties to the back burner. You see it more in smaller schools where maybe hiring may be more limited with staff and budget restrictions. Central City seems like a large enough district that would lean towards admins not being allowed to coach.

if it is the superintendent at Central City tha takes over, they might be the largest school to have their top leader in the district allowing their coach to be head coach.

Would probably make him the highest paid football coach in the state of Nebraska behind the Husker staff

Sounds like Central City is close to making a hire and it will not be their supt. Am hearing a name from an 8man school but been asked not to disclose until official.
