Haha this board is so nutty. Writing off a freshman for one muffed punt. So far he has wildly exceeded expectations. Let the freshman develop.

You are worried about him. ? Wait until 2019 when there are 3 of them.My hope is that they turn into Edelman Nelson and Welker.

I still think he can be a decent player but not sure how much player development it takes to catch a punt.
Announcers commented that the wind was gusty, blew the ball back closer to him at the last second, hitting him on the chest. I’ll give him a pass b/c of the weather, certainly hurt, but we have a lot more to be concerned with in terms of today’s game

I remember 3 years ago when Austin and Wharton where giving up huge yardage thrown into action as freshman. Better to roll up your sleeves, take some punishment and turn it around year 2. Hayek and the rest of WR's will surprise next year.

Hayak has the ability to get open at WR at least and with a good throw would have had a touchdown in the corner of the endzone against Penn State. Punt returns, maybe not a good idea right now.

For some reason, I think he’d drop it

Wharton gave up tons of yardage yesterday, and don't blame it on Austin's injury.

What the Hayek???

Harris should be returning punts. Rutgers would then have the only 3-way player in football.

Why does the win effect our players but not Indiana? They don't fumble, they can pass, they can catch punts. But Rutgers guys "ohh, it's a little windy." That's comical. That little running back was cutting us up like he was Gale Sayers. The weather effected them zero.

Well our punts, especially in that direction, we're often sailing way over the returners head.

Strong winds effect balls that are sailing high into the air. This is a real thing.

Coaches should have told Hayek to be very cautious.
