Iowa is the hottest team in the league hands down. Their 61 points in the first half today was more than RU scored in their entire last game. Does anyone still think they'd rather play Iowa than Northwestern? Our boys are heading into a buzz saw tomorrow afternoon. They need to really step up the D on the 3-point line and find a way to score enough to keep us in the game. Stopping Murray is not nearly enough. Everyone seems to have a hot hand of late on Iowa.

It’s more than the 46 they scored against us for the entire game.

Good thing you aren't being tied to a chair and forced to watch tomorrow's game, then!

Northwestern used a lot of energy to come back and win last night. They are a step slow and that can't happen against Iowa. RU will be ready for them.

I don't think Iowa tried to even guard the perimeter, there were so many open shots with not a ton of actual movement in the first half. RU won't play that kind of defense

I’m sitting here listening to the B1G network.
They are discussing how no one can match up with Kegan Murray and how he eats guards alive.
Knowing full well they are playing us tomorrow with DPOY going against him and say nothing about it?

"Gonna take a big strong 6.6 or 6.7 guard to match him up". LoL. BTW I don't even think Caleb matched up with him last game, am I wrong?

Not only that but we held him to his 2nd lowest points output in the Big Ten this year (the lowest was @Indiana, a game that Murray only played 22 mins in due to foul trouble). We also held him to his 2nd lowest FG% in Big Ten play, in large part due to Caleb/Ron’s ability to match up with him

Northwestern is a finesse team. We’re going to punch them in their cornfed mouths.

How many times in the NBA playoffs have you seen a team click on all cylinders and win by a blowout only to come back to earth an lose the next two. Let BTN flower them with love and accolades, theyā€˜ll be ripe for a dose of reality.

Good. Let’s come out with a chip on our shoulder and hold them to 55 points

That was a setup. They know the DPOY is 6'7 with long arms. They have been talking about McConnell's defense most of the year.

However, I think Harper matched up with him last time.

Not to take anything away from Iowa -- they're good and they're hot -- but I can't count the number of times Iowa had wide open shots for 3. Wide. Open. No defenders within 10 feet of them.

The Northwestern defense was a mere rumor more often than not in this game.

I thought Ron covered him last game but may be confusing games
Watching. At the start Murray on Rhj, we switched as lot. I think rhj starting, but Geo and Paul on him too

Oh God. Not feeling about tomorrow.

All of ours guys need on tomorrow.

Lets hope they are exhausted. And let's hope we don't get humiliated like that or we will be talking NIT.
