There's an ex-4 star DL from PSU that sat out the past year as a transfer. Is that who you are thinking of? He's in the 6'5" 270 lb. range from what I've heard, but those are football coach numbers. He could be 5'6" and 370 lbs. in the real world.

That guy was supposedly NFL ready coming out of high school according to one currently employed Inside WVU Football. Yet a few years later at Utah he played sparingly & never made an NFL Roster.
Him, T Kerns, V Beamer, and J Gwaltney will go down as the Fantastic Four that never was.
Yep. He was so good we recruited him for two classes. Also wasted time on Benji Kemoeatu who never made it to enroll. So much for Samoan help.
Do you mean Asa Chapman? He was another DT that was much heralded, hyped, & signed in 2 recruiting classes, but NEVER made it to the 26505.
I will NEVER forget Nehlen's comment when John Avery backed out of coming to WVU at the last second in order to play for Mississippi. It was something to the effect, "John Avery is either the biggest liar of all time, OR, he just got bought"........... Don darn well knew which it was.......as do we all.
On a side note, I love to hear Don make comments about Pitt's cheating in the early 80's when Jackie Sherrill was there. Don pretty much calls Pitt out for being the huge cheaters that we all figured they were. Sherrill went on to prove it by getting A&M put on probation. Sheesh
