I don’t agree. Games get stale in the defensive end for a bit but coaches have carrots and sticks with PT. Game on the line guys want to win too
Not saying that they’re not trying. It just is a different season and I guess we need to accept that. But I feel like our guys are really missing playing in front of people.

This season is lame. I don't think you can take much from it. It just seems like there's no energy from anyone. Games feel like a gym run. COVID sucks.
Having covered 3 games without fans and watched many more on TV without fans I can say without hesitation that the artificial crowd noise is more annoying in person than on TV. I can tune it out within a couple of possessions watching on TV. At the game it takes MUCH longer.

Am I losing my mind or is there a piped-in crowd noise at pretty much every college football game WITHOUT fans but not at the basketball games?

program needs to prove they are good because they are good, not because of the RAC...this will end up being a good thing, winning by creating your own energy and using your own abilities, Rutgers teams including last year have got caught up in relying on the crowd, they will be better for it

A big part of the problem tonight was you had announcers in their basement and a zone defense our offense isn’t built for. Just a recipe for boring

This^^^^^^^ 100%. In the first half I found myself not really into the game at all, boring, looking at my phone constantly. For the 2nd half i muted and put on WCTC and once I got it synced it was a totally different experience.

I get the point of this thread, but you have to wonder just how crazy it could have gotten last March and this season with our starved fanbase.

Crazy thing is, we could all be watching a top 10 rankings match-up....see a chaotic sequence of bad passes and a few turnovers and not think twice about it.

If It was us we’d go ape ****.

One of our diehards last night said after Cuse took the lead, that’s it
14 straight loses....lol

Last night's game was a tough watch, but not because of the lack of fans. I felt like our offense could stall out at any moment, and Cuse could catch fire from 3. It was nerve-racking, and I didn't relax until Myles and-1 near the end

What’s strange is that I’ve watched Illinois, Michigan State, Gonzaga and others play multiple times and there are times you forget about Covid altogether. Our games lack energy and seem to be boring. The dead arenas, bad competition, and broadcasters we get certainly don’t help matters.

RAC is one awful place. The last time I was there was for a graduation ceremony and I felt that Everest would be a easier climb than going to the top of the RAC. IT is designed for young kids who have no fear of heights.

I love the RAC and hope that it never gets replaced. I love the crowded in fans, I love the smell of burnt popcorn, the stale pretzels, how it devours visiting teams, I just love the place.

A big part was disinterested announcers. They were terrible. No excitement in their voices. Without crowds they gotta bring it.
