Obvious travels not called.

Phantom foul on EO in first half when he got pushed to the ground.

Hand checks called on us, not them.

Not calling illegal screens.

I don't expect to win every game, but this is some serious hosing. Every questionable call seemed to come at a time when we were making a little push. Almost as if the refs want to say "hang on there Rutgers"

That guy with the cut line side burns short hair absolutely hates Rutgers like we kidnapped his wife. He must’ve gone to some no name school and lost his girlfriend to one of our students at a frat party or something

Unless I’m missing something from the other angle, but this is the worst foul you’ll see all year. How was this a foul on Geno
I thought the ref was confused and pointed at the wrong guy... not.

You know what it was.. the replay clued me in.. there is some emphasis on calling the player who grabs the other guy's arm and goes down trying to draw a call.

That is not what happened here.. but that ref was trying to make a hero call... like he saw this thing that is really hard to see. I would have loved to see him look at the replay, realize he got the call wrong and correct himself.. but man.. that was bad.

It’s that dumb “hook” play the refs are supposed to be calling all year. The other replay they showed on tvs howed it was a clear hook by Eugene.

There is 1 ref on this crew who kills us every game. He either has a bias towards Rutgers or pikiell. For several years this has occurred whether in conference or out of conference patsy. I was screaming at him for whole game. I posted this on game thread 5 minutes before game started. Couldn't recall his name - Courtney Green. A real POS. Tapes of his blatant bias should be sent to the Big 10 office

Michigan State won by double digits because Rutgers couldn't defend number 44 inside without fouling and on offense they shot bricks in the second half.It was a exciting first half because Rutgers made some 3 point shots but in the second half they looked like a tired team and didn't have one go to scorer.

I know it’s not the reason we lost, but it’s the reason some people in Vegas covered. I’ll put it that way

Comment has nothing to do with this thread. The refs were awful.

Bingo. Give RU a chance to win the game. The players win the game but man the refs did their best to kill momentum EVERY time RU crept back in the 2nd half. And yes I haven't seen many games in person the last few years, but tonight that one ref called EVERYTHING against RU.

If it's called evenly you can't complain. But they called NOTHING on MSU until the last 3 min of the game. Total BullS%%T

The refs in this game reminded me of the good old days of the refs in the Big East ... several of whom seem to always have it in for Rutgers.

Michigan State didn't get called for a foul until there was 11:45 left in the 1st half. By which time Rutgers had already been called for 5 fouls. Didn't have anything to do with the loss of course. But that was annoying the crap out of me.

Funny thing is 2 of the refs tonight---- Courtney Green reffed Stony Brook and the other ref Lewis Garrison reffed Hartford game last year.

Last year in November, FSU close loss we could've won 2 refs of MSU tonight, Scirotto and Garrison, last year's MSU game 62-52 @ home tied 26-26 at halftime, TV Teddy Valentine and Courtney Green see a trend.

Courtney Green is the POS Ref whose blatant bias against Rutgers in any game - conference / non conference is pathetic. Tapes of his blatant bias should be sent to the Big 10 Office. His ratio of calls against Rutgers in every game he refs is approx 4:1 against us. It was worse tonight.

my thoughts on the refs...game was poorly called because it seemed inconsistent. They would call some tick tacks while letting some obvious ones go....I think both sides. I think refs slightly favored MSU but really the only truly terrible call was the one on Eugene which looked like it should have gone the other way. RU had all the monmentum and then that stopped it.

Still as I have said before I am not big on blaming refs for anything. It certainly wasnt the reason for the loss and there were too many other things positive that I saw from RU to think about what the refs did.

I'm out of town for biz and missed the game, but as soon as I read that one ref was particularly bad, I knew it would be Courtney Green.
