Haskins wants to go to a school that doesn't have a qb. Does Rutgers have a qb?

Assume he means either:

- no other QB commited for the 2016 class, or
- no clear-cut starter for the 2016 season (right now that would be hard to determine)

He must mean a Program that does not have a QB in the same Recruiting Class that he is in.

We have to assume he wants to start during his RS Fr. season, so one that does not have a QB firmly entrenched in the position.

The reason I'm worried about Haskins is because he certainly seems like he wants to play with other top Maryland guys, none of which we have a real play on... He needs to be independent and come here, the others will follow

I don't know, if Haskins and Guarantano were plan 1a and 1b it seems like Flood and company are actively looking for plan c,d, e and f right now with all the 3 and 2 star guys they are looking at. I know stars aren't anything but dreamteam16 is looking more like 2014 and 2015. Not to say those classes were bad, they just didn't have the star power 2011 and 2012 had.

Every team is looking at their next batch of guys, Maryland offered a QB on Friday. I don't know much about the SC kid but Russo is the kind of 5-10 offer regional QB we would have loved in the past.

RU has 3 QBs. I don't understand the comment. Is he suggesting that he will go to a school that he thinks he can start for immediately? If that is the case...the young man has a lot of growing up to do. Highly doubt that he will start anywhere as a freshman.

Have you watched his tape? He would start today for RU.

Russo may start to get more offers and interest but he fits the profile of all our recent QB commits with little or no P5 offers. Yes he has 5 offers currently including Bucknell and Monmouth, not exactly the excitement that would inspire a recruiting class or make fans think he will turn out much better than our last several light recruited QB commits.

Oh the creepy people are out in force on this one. Trying to figure out what a one sentence line from a 17 year old actually means....and arguing about it like they know the kid personally.

The thing of it is is that the Maryland kids may scatter like the NJ kids. They are not enamored with Edsall.

I have seen several references to Maryland offering someone else.....who is the qb, is he the same year, is the offer committable?, etc....I would wonder what will happen if he is a 2016 player and accepts in short order.

Means anything and nothing. Just him re-posting a recruiting photoshop art that we sent to him. Every recruit does it. Even that Tennessee guy. Reading way too much into this one.

Yeah, I read that this kid was high on Rutgers. I thought that we would have offered after JG committed to Tenn. I guess Moore was already a SMU by mid April.
He was high in us and begging for an offer. Staff said he had to camp first.....

Ok care to elaborate?

Can't elaborate too much because it's premium info from here and TOS, but suffice to say the kid is being strongly underrated, and could be a terrific get for us. Haskins would be a much better get, but Russo is a compelling plan B right now.

Well, since only one team can get Haskins, I doubt he expects all of his suiters to have no QBs on the team. Hard to take the comment any other way then he wants to be the only QB in his class.

Well best situation if you believe you can play as a true freshman is to go to a team that has an entrenched starter this year that is graduating. Then you can be pretty confident there will by an open competition when you arrive.

We will have a 1 year starter with 2 years left to play. If Rettig or Laviano do well he might not start till he is a Redshirt Sophmore.
