Yeah kind of. Several friends and family were like "Are you ok?" lol. They knew this was my Christmas.

Trying to stay positive. The good news is that I saved $250 on tickets, and probably another $250-400 on bar tabs over the next three weeks (although who am I kidding, I'll still go out). I also save two PTO days.

Planning to use that money to buy in on the stock dip.

This really sucks. If it was just the NCAA tournament, I’d be able to be ok before too long with other events to look forward to. We have virtually no sports for the foreseeable future. I might as well start working 15 hour days.

It did this morning at work. We had planned a watch party for the UK game and some of the game after. Nothing now.... we are in sports marketing so you can imagine how much time we have on our hands now.

My wife got home last night and saw me blank staring at Sportscenter. She took one look at me and said “I’m sorry Hunnie.”

Instant tears in my eyes but I held them back lol but yes it hit me.

Same with my fiance. It's been tough to swallow.

I usually don’t take losses hard except the last one. This year didn’t have a last loss but it didn’t end in a title.

I’m completely deflated right now. I’d taken 2 vacation days next Thursday and Friday. Just emailed my boss to cancel the request. The conference tournaments and Selection Sunday are like religious holy days in my world.

I’m currently compiling a list of shows to watch on Netflix and I guess I can still have sports by playing Madden or NBA2K. Hell, I might dust off the Xbox 360 and create my own tournament on College Hoops 2K8.

My wife doesn’t give a damn about sports, so she’s fine. I feel like a big part of my life has been taken away. These next 3 weeks are usually my favorite time of year. Now it’s just a big empty void.

All season I kept wanting to keep this years team at arms length because I wasn't sure they would pull it together but the way they found ways to win and overcome adversity was really inspiring and entertaining. I am really sad that I won't get to see them find that next gear during the tournament. I think we would have seen Hagans get his mojo back, Nick occasionally dominate, and Maxey/IQ show amazing shot-making ability. I think brook and juzang would have had a break out game somewhere in there (due to inevitable foul trouble). Knowing that I won't see this group play again really sucks. I started to watch some old games to soothe myself but i just wasn't feeling it. Maybe this weekend.

Yeah it's slowly sinking in. Yesterday it was like "wait, what? No way this could happen". Unfortunately it has happened.

I guess it's time to get in the outdoors away from people and hunt Turkey's and Morel Mushrooms. Also do some target practicing.

Boredem has set in for me.
I always take today and next Thur and Fri off work. Too late for me to cancel it. Wasted vacation days.
Favorite time in sports for me. UK in sec and ncaa tournaments and Reds opening day. All gone now.
Football just does not do it for me like College Basketball and MLb.

MLB pushed their season start back 2 weeks, so it sucks to have wait a bit longer but Reds are almost here so Im not all tore up. Ive got plenty to do on my plate right now anyway.

I can't remember not filling out a bracket. Ever. Even during NIT years. This is usually my favorite time of the year. I think I would rather them cancel Christmas than March Madness. This really stinks.

It just doesn’t seem real. With the conference tournaments, NCCAT, Masters, baseball starting up, and even some NBA even though I don’t watch it much, this is usually my favorite time of year along with the start of football season. I was really looking forward to the tournament this year too because it was so wide open. This freakin sucks. Damn virus.:mad::mad:

yep sure a depressing time for lots of people right now me included. Always loved watching the SEC and then the NCAA basketball tournaments . Kentucky would be tipping off in just a little while !

“Hunt turkeys and morel mushrooms”- amen to that. Haven’t heard any gobbling yet, but my hearing is bad. Wife has been listening from back porch lately, she always hears them from there, but she hasn’t yet. Nothing like that first gobble.

Has it sunk in that the season is over? That the 2 weeks this stupid message board is completely based around have been ruined? Unbelievable. I’m still in shock. No idea what to do next 3 weeks.

Just keep yourself busy with work...that is what I am doing...not as much fun.

At least you aren't a pilot, nurse, govt official, Dr or Dentist- I feel for all of those professions.

At this point I would not be surprised if most, maybe all of the MLB season isn't cancelled. Nothing will ever surprise me again.

It’s hard every year because it’s one loss and your done. In the span of two hours your could be playing for a final four and then going home the next minute.

we are so passionate here. We spend hours on here debating the smallest things about the team.

it’s extra hard this season because we don’t know how this was going to play out. And we never will sadly. It sucks.

hopefully we’ll be back to normal next season.

They say Katrina did some loud gobbling all over minardi hall.

It stinks. The NCAA-T this year was going to be a wild, upset-laden spectacle, of that I'm sure, but it was the right thing to do. Gotta get this covid s**t under control.

Nope. I still feel like it’s going to happen and I know it’s not going to happen and that doesn’t even make sense. Idk what I’m even talking about at this point.
