Montre came up huge again this week. I was surprised to see Coan challenge him so much. Guy has been money for us all season. Will be fun to see him go up against some of the Irish receivers next week.

He has been a stud for us for years. I wonder if he’ll have an even better pro career than McManis has, he looks like a NFL talent.

Wasn’t he an unheralded pick up very late in the recruiting cycle, or am I getting forgetful?
Yep, he was committed to Georgia Southern (rated 2 star with no Power 5 offers), and we had a scholarship open up a couple days before signing day so he got the call; last scholarship offered in the 2015 class.

One of those guys who has proven himself many times over and will be one of those "2 star to NFL" guys. A real credit to him and the coaches with how well he's developed; he's an absolute stud.

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
A tale of a two-star kid
Who arrived late in Evanston
Just like Sherrick did.

His frame was slightly built back then
But the coaches they were sure
Five meals a day and some lifts
Would prepare him to endure
Physically mature

(Thunder sound)

His coverage skills weren’t so rough
He could run and turn his hips
It wasn’t long before the coaches knew
Montre was legit

He’s All Big Ten material now
Blanketing the conference’s best
Against Spielman
Felton Davis too
Peoples-Jones
And teammate Black
(The biggest stars)
Stanley Morgan and
Jerome Washington
Here on Montre’s Isle!

Ginger >> Maryanne.

Mary Ann >>> Ginger, at least financially. If I remember correctly, of all the cast members, Mary Ann made by far the most money from the show. Her husband had the perspicacity to require a residuals clause be included in her contract. These were not common at the time and the others members of the cast had no such clause in their contracts.

I don’t know how to do my taxes, but I remember the important stuff.

He was unbelievable. I remember one play where he was tight on the receiver at the line and stayed with him stride for stride and knocked the pass away. And he was like that all day.
