Time for Palmquist to step up and knock down a bunch of threes. JY carving up and kicking out today...
This could be a game to keep Palmquist in the rotation. Iowa doesn't have explosive athletes in offense. Palmquist has length to bother 3 point shooters. Iowa defensively will allow open 3's and he hit one last game and got some minutes

I finally saw a couple of nice things from Reiber and Palmquist last game that showed me why Pike is so high on them. We’ll see how they continue to develop, but I can see them getting some minutes today, along with Mag. And of Ronnie’s able to go it will be that much better down the stretch today.

I hope they both play, play a lot, and play well. BUT it's also entirely possible they are dressed and available as needed. Meaning if Reiber and Palmquist are able to provide great minutes and get hot, you let them both stay on the bench...

My guess is that Harper starts and plays 30 minutes while McConnell probably comes of the bench for 10 or 12 total minutes.
Has McConnel even been to a practice this year? How do you put him in a game like this? I can't imagine.

I can't see McConnell playing 10 minutes unless there is serious foul trouble. He is like an emergency qb.

I can totally see him playing today 15 minutes today. We need his 6’7” frame and very good defense defending the three point line

FWIW Seth Greenberg and Sean Farnham were previewing this game Thursday night on ESPN and billing it as the battle of two superstars - Garza and Harper. Would they do that if Harper wasn't playing?

At this point I’m thinking Cliff must be attempting to rehab from a partial ligament tear.
