Sluggish is the right word. He looks slow and unsure if himself.
Young and Harper won the game for Rutgers in the last minutes of the game.
While I agree he needs to find his shot. His shot late closed the game. Was a huge tough shot. Love when he drives to the hole.
He’s hitting everything but 3 pointers right now. He had some clutch shots at the end of the game tonight. Once he gets his 3 point shoot back, he’ll be the RHJ we saw earlier this year.
Last game he had 3 - 3 pointers that were halfway down and came out. Confidence is everything but he may be hitting a wall with his emphasis on D and rebounding. He’s playing guys taller than him every game so he’s getting tired. When he’s on, he blows right past guys like Nance.
Nance has been guarding him and he's tough , physical and big. He's forced Harper to take longer shots and he's just missing.

A WIN is a WIN is a WIN. Ron played an outstanding second half. He is human after all. Some of you expect our players to be perfect every game.
He isn’t nearly as good a shooter as he was hitting them in the beginning of the year, and he isn’t nearly as bad as he is missing them now.
Rather him be cold now then the end of the season and tournament time. He’ll find a shot again.
Last game it was Young killing the team and posters acted like he should be kicked off the team

Ron will be fine. He’s just in a slump and seems to have lost his confidence. One good game could turn that around. Hopefully soon!
Shack has pointed out his release point has lowered on perimeter shots. He has made most of his fade aways because they require a higher release point.

The “bench Young” comments disappeared now that he had 20 points off the bench. I too wish all 8 players score 10+ a game and score 100, but in big ten basketball that’s not always gonna be the case. NO EASY GAMES
Is it just me OR do we rebound better, as a team, when someone other than RHJ shoots a 3? I almost feel like the entire team starts heading the other way as soon as Ron jacks one up.
Many of his 3s the last few weeks have rattled in and out, he seems to be on a very unlucky streak as you would think at least a few of them would stay down. They will start to fall and even out, he is due for a nice stretch.
He is going to break out against some poor team soon. Maybe he’s waiting for Iowa again.

yes and the last 3 games he hasn't let the slump affect his D, which was happening during the losing streak.
Sure looked it. Didn't get why they didn't look at it. They look at about everything.
My guess is that he was told to just keep shooting when he has open looks. He has had a lot of open looks,

While I agree with the general sentiment, this thread doesn't seem out of line. Harper has certainly had a very bad shooting stretch and nothing in here attacks him personally.
