He's looked sluggish for awhile now. His 3's are close but nothing has gone for him lately.

Last game he had 3 - 3 pointers that were halfway down and came out. Confidence is everything but he may be hitting a wall with his emphasis on D and rebounding. He’s playing guys taller than him every game so he’s getting tired. When he’s on, he blows right past guys like Nance.

Nance has been guarding him and he's tough , physical and big. He's forced Harper to take longer shots and he's just missing.

Last game it was Young killing the team and posters acted like he should be kicked off the team
Enjoy the wins and don't panic about bad stats.
Sometimes it's the little things that don't show up in the box score that a player does that
helps the team to win.
Also when a player get to be considered a force, opponents set up their D thinking about him

Shack has pointed out his release point has lowered on perimeter shots. He has made most of his fade aways because they require a higher release point.

The “bench Young” comments disappeared now that he had 20 points off the bench. I too wish all 8 players score 10+ a game and score 100, but in big ten basketball that’s not always gonna be the case. NO EASY GAMES

Is it just me OR do we rebound better, as a team, when someone other than RHJ shoots a 3? I almost feel like the entire team starts heading the other way as soon as Ron jacks one up.

He's clearly in a 3 point slump. It's in his head & he's pressing. Same thing happens in baseball. You begin to press & the worse it gets. Believe Zap would agree with this. He'll come out of it.

yes and the last 3 games he hasn't let the slump affect his D, which was happening during the losing streak.

To be fair, the corner shot in 2nd half, should have been a 3, toe was just over the line.

My guess is that he was told to just keep shooting when he has open looks. He has had a lot of open looks,
they will start falling.

What's killing me is all these threads in the past couple of weeks hating on college kids.

You don't think these guys wanna win? You've obviously never spent 30 seconds with them or anyone else inside this program if you think that.

We can all be better fans. Let's try that for a change

While I agree with the general sentiment, this thread doesn't seem out of line. Harper has certainly had a very bad shooting stretch and nothing in here attacks him personally.
