Needs to play 35+ every game
Strongly disagree. The occasional game it works but it’s a Long term issue.
Every minute above 30 you play ...you get less from that minute.
If we want to go far...we need guys fresh in March.
also Baker 37 and Mulcahy 36. Interesting.
When we have one guy hold the ball at the top of the key and run the clock down to 10, I’m betting our good shot percentage is close to 10%Happy RHJ contributed. But his shot selection is terrible. No one on this team should run Iso. Maybe Geo when we are desperate. The turnaround fadeaway jumper is a low percentage shot. That last iso play was god awful.

And with the exception of a quick start with 7 points, he got extremely lazy hanging out on the perimeter. The minute he went down low, he got the high lo dunk from Cliff and 2 short turnaround 10 footers in the second half late. The key difference is he decided for the last 5-6 minutes of the game to play defense and rebound . That was the Ron defense and rebounding we were used to and was missing in the 5 game skid. He has fallen in love with the three point line way too much. I want him doing high lows with Myles, Cliff and getting on the block where he can also rebound. His 12 boards tonight should not be an aberration. He should be doing that every game if he stops being lazy hanging out at the 3 point line.Needs to play 35+ every game
It’s 5 on 5 basketball again.I thought Mulcahy played MUCH better on offense today. It’s exactly what I have been saying we need out of him. Didn’t hesitate on shooting a 3 and was driving to the basket looking to score actually. That is what we need as it opens things up and he is such a good passer. Just be aggressive and NOT just looking to pass
Harper played way too much. Harpers optimal minute number is somewhere between 28 and 32.
You are right Zap. These are young guys who should be in shape with the amount of days they have had off. We are not playing 3-4 times per week. It is all about effort and for that we should congratulate them for TODAY ... now build upon this .I’d play 5 guys 40 if we had to and it led to a win on a given night.
Every game is different
I can see Paul becoming a much bigger scorer for us in his Junior and Senior seasons.I thought Mulcahy played MUCH better on offense today. It’s exactly what I have been saying we need out of him. I disagree. Ron demonstrated several times today how he creates his own shot driving into the lane with fade aways. Tough shots but he hit them.Ron should NEVER be in iso on the wing. He is NOT a guy who can create his own shot. He is a spot up shooter on the wing.
I don’t mind Ron in iso on the block though.
I think the previous 2 games, he literally airball those shots.I disagree. Ron demonstrated several times today how he creates his own shot driving into the lane with fade aways. Tough shots but he hit them.

No. I am not. Harper did a lot of good things today. There were possessions again today on the defensive end where he wasn’t fully engaged.Could not be more wrong my man
I thought he was very good in the second half of the PSU game creating his own shot. I think the little bit of benching in the 2nd half of that game has sparked him.I think the previous 2 games, he literally airball those shots.
I think he still needs to figure out, when creating for himself, what is a good shot. But he certainly can create good shots for himself.I disagree. Ron demonstrated several times today how he creates his own shot driving into the lane with fade aways. Tough shots but he hit them.
Ya, pass first is great, and teams will play him that way which will open up scoring opportunities for him. He needs to take advantage when those opportunities present themselves, he can't be pass only.I thought Mulcahy played MUCH better on offense today. we can’t bench certain players who don’t give 100% and allow Harper to take defensive possessions off.
harper is a talented player, but he isn’t good enough to help us on a 1/2 tank. When Mathis is in the mix we are better with Harper giving us his best for 30 minutes.
I am sure of this.
Harper isn’t that good. I’ll take Montez’s 10th minute of the game over Harpers 32nd minute most days.Sorry no this team doesn’t have the quality depth
I mean he was grabbing boards and blocking shots in the last 3 minutes of the gameHarper played way too much. Harpers optimal minute number is somewhere between 28 and 32.
I’ll stand by the fact that Harper in minutes 32+ is not as good as fresh options we have off the bench.Harper had some enormous rebounds down the stretch...I dont like that take you just posted, I think you know better
He will (and has been) our key to our season. He is getting good looks again- a few just missed (were dead on). If he gets hot again- look out.his shot at 68-65 to make it 70-65 stepback likely won the game. He had 7 of our last 8 points
