This is the best freshman class in 5-10 years. A bunch of guys will have long NBA careers. For Dylan and Ace, they are both Alpha type players. Flagg is not currently. Doesn’t mean he can’t be in a year or two. Flagg may end up being the 2nd or 3rd option on offense in the NBA. Dylan and Ace both could be 1st option type guys. That is why they are being considered for number 1. This is not just my opinion, but the opinion of many people in the NBA.

The unknown is the importance of team success.Duke surely will be in the NCAA Tournament while Rutgers isn't even considered a bubble team right now.Harper and Bailey have to continue scoring at a very high level and Pikiell has to improve the half court offense and also the defense/rebounding which will then translate into wins .The margin for error is slim and Rutgers can't have bad losses against Princeton or Columbia or a losing record against B1G Ten rivals.Media attention and NBA scouts watching Harper and Bailey is very high right now.Hopefully, that will continue and Rutgers goes on a winning streak enhancing their exposure as two of the top players in college basketball.
I haven't really been able to put a comp for him together in my head. Length, more than solid on both ends. Dating myself a bit, maybe a Kirilenko type?
In draft reviews I've seen his comps are Kirilenko and Shawn Marion. Not sure why that other dude keeps bringing up Tatum. I suspect he may be a Dook fan trolling here as it's weird he keeps taking shots at Dylan as being a shot hunter Fultz type projected NBA bust.
If Flagg compares to Kirilenko and Marion, that's not the type of guy I would target as #1 in my draft.
Fultz listed as 6' 4", 195" at Washington. Harper is 6' 6", 215#. That's a noticeable difference.
Calling Dylan a shot hunter when he's clearly been our best player and our depth is being criticized as thin? I wish he had been more of a shot hunter at KSU, we could've won that game if we'd gotten more from him in the first half.
The guy taken 1st overall could come down to position of need on whoever wins the lottery.
I've read numerous times that Flagg compares to Kirilenko, and Bailey compares favorably to Amare Stoudemire.
All I know is that I will be on eBay buying boxes of basketball cards for the first time in 20-25 years

I like Rashard Lewis for Ace. Not the same post presence as Amare but a way better outside game

I think Flagg is much further advanced offensively than Marion. I'd almost see him closer to a less athletic, taller Pippen before I went Marion. Tatum closer to Ace than Flagg.
