This team is regressing. There is no one, not one player, who can score the ball. Whenever the ball goes through the hoop I feel like it is an accident.

What frustrates me about Corey is how a guard in this era of basketball hasn’t developed a jump shot in 3 years. In fact it’s gotten worse, including his mechanics.

Dont forget that Mike got hurt and he was as much of a heart and soul of the team than anyone is. He grabbed rebounds that got second chances at points and he provided senior leadership not to mention in his absense there are guys that are getting more pt than they are used to. Dont panic help is on the way everything will be ok

It continues to amaze me how the answer to how little talent we have is to crap on the guy who has by far the most because it's not as much as we'd want.

Dribbling / driving to Corey's left is not a wish list item: it's a necessity for Corey to be able to be productive / for Rutgers to have a chance to win.

Corey only has 2 shots. A drive to the right and a pull up jumper.

The B10 defenders have figured that out & he just gets stuffed
or pulls up throws up bricks.

Yes he IS athletic. But he isnt fooling anyone anymore

His freshman year, he had the highest usage of anybody in the Big Ten. During conference play, he made over 50% of his two-point attempts.

This year he's at 37%. Last year it was 39%.

He's regressed, badly, and it's time to move on IMO. If Pikiell can't find a guard to shoot better than 37% on 2s and 20% on 3s then I don't know what to tell you.

The regression IMO is with the whole offense. Defense seems to be creative, but once the offense stagnates, the team panic sets in and they go on a dry spell. Hopeful we can see a few good set plays to bust out.

Yep. the announcers said that before the game the Illinois players kept in talking about how Corey doesn’t like going to his left

Corey needs to go pro for his own good and the good of the team. Time for everyone to move on. No more hero ball when he and Freeman are gone

It is neither in Sanders or the program's best interest for him to leave. Sanders is not ready to be a professional at any level yet. He simply is not good enough as a shooter for a guard.

The program also would not benefit from losing arguably its most talented player. There is just not enough talent on the team. Talent wins.

I'd like to see him come back and develop his game more. I remember Damon Santiago finishing his career off strong. Why can't Sanders do the same?

Well said. This should be one of the most obvious things in the history of obviousness.

If Corey comes back for his senior year I wish he stays here and works with the team and coaches in the off season.

It’s crazy how talented CS is and that he has no left hand. He’s been scouted. Would LOVE to have a CS next year that just practices dribbling and driving to his left, shooting threes and passing back out from a double team. Kid has everything else and with new found success he would save wear and tear from not getting hammered in the paint and become mentally stronger from not getting pissed on not getting calls after getting hammered in the paint. That would be a great CS to have back next season. A less complete CS next year and he will not be a prime leader for this team.
