If he pulls in multiple top 10 classes, it would b troubling.Underachieving I guess.
But 2 NY6 bowl games in 4 years.
How long before we demand 10 win seasons 75% of the time and NY6 bowls 50% of the time from Frost? Do we start calling out Frost for underachieving for not winning 10 and going to major bowls after another year.

After 4 years, we better be where Michigan isWe aren’t grading on the curve based on recruiting. After a couple of years for Frost to get settled if we are indeed a blue blood program the standards at Nebraska shouldn’t be any different than Michigan. Otherwise we are Iowa
I'm guessing 2020.
The bar should be 10 games. We aren't lowering the bar for Coach Frost. We're patient while he gets us there.

Harbaugh at least won a NY6 bowl, but Pelini was 3-3 in bowl games and except for the 2010 Holiday bowl the better team won in the bowl game..
The Bar at winning 10 games every year is pretty high to hurdle every year...
A lot of good football teams were 9-3 going into their bowl games..
Florida, LSU,Penn St, texass,Syracuse and Washington was 10-3.
Pelini coached in weak *** conferences. Big 10 is much better now, especially the WestThat's where the bar is. 10. Osborne's bar was at 9 wins a year, but that was with less games played. We now play 12 regular season games a year plus CCG. So, occasional 9 games would be expected. However, it needs to average 10 or we are no better than Pelini. That simply is not good enough for NU.

Much better all around compared to pre Riley . Bo always coached in cupcake divisions, yet ended unranked in 2013/2014Yes ... the big ten west is murderers row Laughing
Iowa
Minnesota
Illinois
NW
Purdue
Wisconsin

Depends on the strength of schedule. So you are on board with 10 wins as a benchmark??

Yes, but we play 9 conference games now, including an extra game against the East. Winning the division every other year would be a big improvement over past coachesThe big ten west is consistently rated near the bottom of college football divisions. You are arguing degrees of badness. Yes maybe the big 12 north might have been the worst division while the big ten west is the second or third worst division. Regardless both are/were bad. The bump in competition is not that great if any.

Yes, but the argument is if frost doesnt do better than Bo or Jim .Just winning a division twice or winning thr conference supercedes what those two did . while the ultimate goal is a national title, relevance keeps him employed .Ok...
But I don't think sos means anything. You have to win enough games every year......to make it into the CFP......and if you don't, you make changes to give yourself a chance to get to the CFP the following year......

I don't care what he did in the big north 12. Mizzou routed him the first year and then fell apart .. The north was weak **** and Bo had tons of talent. No fan of Bo - but if you throw out year one Bo won the division 3 times in 6 years. He actually tied for 1st his first year but lost the tie breaker. Mizzouri may have been as good as any team in the big west at that time

2008 and 2010 were the only years that mizzou were relevant while Pelini was there .. He split 1-1 with a massive blowout in 2008 .2009 was the comeback in the rain. Mizzou was 8-5 in 2009 and 2011. And then 5-7 in 2012. Hardly close to Wisconsin .Missouri averaged more than 9 wins a year during Bo’s tenure. Including a 10-3 record with a win over 3rd rated Oklahoma in 2010 after they “fell apart”.

NW was 8-1 in the big 10 .missouri’s crap seasons: 8-5
Champion of the much tougher big ten west: NW 8-5
NW was 8-1 in the big 10 .
Mizzou was 4-4 in the big 12 .
Just compare the big 12 north for 2008 to 2011 .TrashThat just argues that the Big 12 was better than the big ten. NW got a reprieve from taking losses from the likes of Akron and Duke by getting into conference play

Bo was 66-28 record .70 win%,
10-16 vs top 25 teams for a .38 win %
3-9 vs top 10 teams for a .25 win %
Haurbaugh 38-14 record .73 win % ,
8-10 vs top 25 for a .44 win %
1-8 vs top 10 .11 win %
So I would say your statement is pretty accurate. They are very similar. One could argue Bo is even better because Mich is able to pull in much better recruiting. So it did more with less. Unfortunately for Mich he is their golden boy like Frost is to us. If he can't get it done there, nobody can.
Mike didnt have much talent but he sank himself along the way.Bo had tons of talent but Clownahan & Smiling Mike had no talent to work with........makes perfect sense.
The west is deeper now than the big 12 north ever was post 2007
Mike didnt have much talent but he sank himself along the way.
Bo inherited the most talent of the 3
