Leaving early and going right to the stadium. Try to get to the stadium at least an hour before. Otherwise, you might not get in until the 2nd quarter.

im driving in today. Will have some time to kill before I meet others driving in this evening

Is that a sculpture of his glasses in the middle of the luminaria bags? I agree, creepy as all hell.

You know Schiano had some very nice things to say about Paterno in his press conference the other day.
Not sure I could ever fully trust anyone that was in that creepy circle.

But, there are degrees here. Some very nice things <> weirdo shrines. That said, I would prefer for him to give the full story: he was a great football coach and he treated me well, but he was flawed, blah, blah, blah…

I see no value in GS qualifying his remarks about Paterno that way. GS limits his statements to football statements and I'm fine with that.

Should Catholics, when saying grace before dinner every night, always bring up the flaws of the church with respect to its rotten handling of the priest child-abuse scandals? Again, I see no value in it.

psu police think she "accidently" fell into a trash chute? how would that even be possible? Open chute door, put hands/arms/head into chute, push yourself up and in? smells of another psu coverup
If she was hanging out and getting wasted with a friend in the building, then it's entirely possible she was screwing around and did herself harm.

I have seen and heard about very drunk and/or stoned people doing all kinds of insanely stupid stuff. Climbing into a garbage chute to "take a ride" wouldn't even be close to the dumbest.

I think leaping from what we know now to "it's a PSU coverup" is a pretty big leap at this stage.

I didn’t read/hear his quotes, so I’m flying blind, lol. I agree, talking only football is the best way to handle it. But, I assumed that he went personal in his remarks. If not, bad on me and completely agree, football business only.

The Catholic thing is not really equivalent, most Catholics were not on the periphery of the inner circle in one of the abuse scandals.

Who would climb into a trash chute even when drunk 90 feet high? Besides the height, those things are disgusting. No one is that drunk.

Heading there tonight. Staying about a half hour away and driving in to game in the morning. Part of a group of 8. Unfortunately half of them are Penn State fans. Should be interesting.

Accusation and incorrect info. Probably best just to recommend saying a prayer or giving thoughts to her family and friends.

Read this article before you start conspiracy theories. There is video of her climbing into the garbage chute. This is why people shouldn't jump to conclusions without gathering all the information. The first article posted is a terrible summary of the much more detailed story.

Instead the video sequence shows her running onto the 11th floor, seemingly alone, then rushing into the chute room, where she disappears and is not seen again.

Her mother wants to know: was Justine in a panic on a bad drug trip, or did something else happen?

What makes you think they even knew what it was or how high it was? Drunk people mow down people with their cars all the time. Or drive them into bridge abutments. Yes, people most definitely ARE that drunk.

The vast overwhelming number of PSU people had absolutely no clue about the abuse. And are as horrified about what happened as anybody else.

And a Pedd State fan weighs in. I'm sure Pedd State fans have no agenda or tendency to cover up their crimes. LOL

Found it easier to leave the church and never go back.
