You live in the GREATEST nation on all the Earth that was founded on the GREATEST principles that ALL men are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
It has been tested and tried by foreign enemies and we still stand! We stand because of the idea of what America is. People give their lives to come here for the idea that is America. We have measured ourselves throughout our history against the IDEA of America and we STAND!
Our Founding Fathers made clear the goal when they stated "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union" . A more perfect. Not THE PERFECT.... more perfect union vs the Articles of Confederation... with the understanding that perfection is a goal to be worked on throughout our history.
The method was simple, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.
The means was the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. A Republic, if... IF you can keep it.
If you can keep it.
Over the centuries, we have managed to keep it. Shay's rebellion in 1786 tested our young nation early and led to the inclusion of the phrase "insure domestic Tranquility". We defeated the Brits in 1812. We tested ourselves again in 1860. We defeated the Nazis.
Tested.... Still Standing.
Our nation is under constant attack from outside and within. Every step of the way the words, a Republic if you can keep, ring louder and louder. Can we keep it? The very IDEA of AMERICA is under attack. Let me say that one more time. The very idea of America is under attack. There are groups that are openly stating that. One group stated that today. Christian Tabash stated that the reason for their rally on the 4th in DC is make a point about the illegitimacy of the American founding. ANTIFA are self proclaimed marxists who are vocal about bringing down that republic given to us. The organization BLM's mission statement is marxism. That's why I was not surprised when the co-founders stated they were "trained marxist" who have vowed to end the Republic and replace it with a marxist type of government. Please note I stated clearly the organization BLM.
We have an all out attack on the founding of our nation. It's not race. It's ideology. It's a republic where you have your rights vs marxism where you are told by a select few what rights you can or can not have. The proof is all around you. They are telling you they are marxists. They are using the same tactics used by Marx/Lenin/Stalin and more. Defund the police is part of that. It's actually #38 (out of 45) on the list of goals by communist for the USA that was entered into congressional record on Jan 10th, 1963.
I'm not sure of your plans are to celebrate the our independence that gave us a Republic. But remember why you celebrate. Remember all that this nation has gone through and is still standing. Remember the fight to push back Nazism and Communism where the people have no say and the Gov picks who lives and dies. Where nations like China tell the population where they work and what field they work in.
Be safe. Sadly there are people that will be out this weekend trying to tear down this nation and hurt people to PUSH them into silence and from standing up for the very thought of what we stand for.
Stand! Be heard! Be Strong in your resolve to keep this idea of a more perfect union... a Republic. Pass on the idea to your kids of America and tell them how millions have given their lives trying reach it's shores for FREEDOM, for OPPORTUNITIES.
