Glad to hear he is taking a step to getting his life back on track after all his financial collapse. Always liked Walker and enjoyed him at UK and in the NBA, sad story following his career with his financial woes so it's great to hear something positive happening for the man.

By God if the fan base can forgive Farmer and Chapman then we, collectively must have it in us to forgive Antoine. Let's keep in mind who "prepared" him for a celebrity lifestyle with all the trappings associated with money and fame. Wasn't Cal.

Why do we owe him forgiveness? What did him going broke do to any of us?

...but don't act like there weren't numerous posts about how his "going broke" was a poor reflection on the U.K. program and perhaps tarnished his Wildcat legacy.

I think that dude either lost a bet or was playing the "meow" game from Super Troopers to see how many times he could work the word "optics" into a rival teams post.

One of the Sirius/XM sports talk shows a few years ago had a guy who was a professional poker player on for an interview. The guy said he once played poker with Walker, and claimed that Walker came with a duffel bag that had several hundred thousand dollars in it. He said Walker proceeded to lose all the cash, a Rolex watch, and some other jewelry as well over the session, playing against other poker pros.

Really glad he's gotten his life straightened out.

Let's hope that we get to see the shimmy come out of retirement after a big play from Kentucky. Walker was a fun player to watch play in the NBA during his career. The dude had major talent and if he wouldn't have fell so in love with the deep ball, his stats would have even been better. The dude answered why he shoots so many 3 point shots with cause the NBA doesn't have a 4 point shot yet. That sounds like a fun guy to hang out with. I probably wouldn't want to go to the casino with the guy, but I'll be a fan of his work on the SEC network.

I'm not saying this didn't exist but dude has been broke the better part of ten years and I've never once seen a post that said his going broke tarnished Kentucky.

Maybe "forgive" wasn't the right word, geez.
No, it wasn't. Many don't forgive Chapman or Farmer at all. Many see them as those who took advantage of a fanbase that honored and cared for them. People who financially supported them and trusted them only to see their true dishonest/vanity based natures shown.
Please rant and rave about forgiveness, throw the first stone, those without fault; Most will skip over and ignore. Those two can eat ****. Walker was a fool, but to my knowledge he didn't outwardly seek to harm others. I wish him well and a dietary plan.

That sounds right, no other reason to use a word that really didn't fit.
