I never had the honor of serving the Corps, but I've had the honor of the Corps serving me, and millions of others. Thank you, and all the Marines, for everything you've did for this country.

My Grandfather had the distinction of being a Marine Raider in WWII, the original Marine special forces. My Grandfather rose to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and served for twenty years.
I myself served from 2011-15. I never participated in battle but served in 29 Palms, CA. My unit went to S Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Estonia. Best years of my life, knees and ankles took a beating though.
Combined with football and my own fathers gift of bad knees, I think I was ready to hit full civilian life again. God bless the Marines though, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
