My top 3 favorite moments of SixPackSpeak.com

  1. Trent Lott resigning from the Senate before any news media outlet reported it. Someone even questioned the validity because it had yet to be reported
  2. Moorhead hire breaking from the Cheetah Club
  3. Greg Byrne calling SixPackSpeak first to put out an official statement of why Mississippi was misspelled on the back of the baseball scoreboard.

What are your favorite moments in the 17 year history of this grand website?

Remember when the updated logos were being discussed. All of a sudden someone posts really grainy but distinguishable copies of the choices. I like to think that someone broke into the Bryan Building and did this Mission Impossible Style. Some people didn't believe they were real because some of the choices were so outlandish, but sure enough, the new logo set came from those pages.

There's too many great moments for me to single out three, although the ones you mention are great. I peruse the SPS remembers board every couple of months when I'm bored....it never disappoints.

The Shark Spirit giving play-by-play the night before NSD when Orgeron was desperately trying to track down Robert Elliot while Gene Swindoll seemed to be the only person who knew where he really was.

I like the ego boost for me to see that I don't have the worst command of the English among my MSU brethren.*** Srsly, thanks for keeping it up. It provides a very interesting community of opinions and fun information!

One of the more crazier things I remember is all the traffic the board got when the identities of people were revealed that used that escort site. Don't remember the name of it. But that seemed like a wild time.

I haven't been on here for too terribly long, but the Cheetah Club saga was amazing and got national attention.

So many good ones....

without reading the comments past DS's original, these are the first ones that come to mind:

1. The epic story about the trip to the Barnhill buffet (not sure if that was the restaurant)....that was gold!

2. Cheetah club story about the hiring

3. The guy who came here talking smack and dared anyone to meet him at the south farm i think? he was a car dealer

4. Trent Lott ordeal

Still have to give a shoutout to that guy i met at the Fall of 04 Talladega race....after a few beers, we realized we were both MSU grads and genes page came up....i had just been banned for like the 4th time and he mentioned this site to me....been here since...

I can't believe it's been 17 years. I think I joined originally in '05 or '06 under another name. Crazy. Anyway, some personal favorites:

- Anything Original48 posted (RIP buddy), but especially the Pubdates, and SPS official softball team updates.
- SPS gatherings for game watching. Whether at The Pub, Bulldog, Alumni House, or even Hooters (which had to be RobbieRandolph's choice) it was always interesting to meet some of you clowns. Peach34 included.
- There were some great Fark contests... the original memes.
- Lastly, the collective experience and *cough* intellect of the board still amazes me. You can literally bring up any topic, and there are posters who have been there/done that, and will give you some insight. Whether their opinion is wrong or right, that can be debated... but I appreciate the input on any random-*** topic you can throw out.

It's been a good ride, DS, thanks for letting me tag along.

My favorite memories is all the 6-pack tailgates over the years. Just look for the blue, maroon, or white tent on gamedays.
