From article posted above:

“The passengers did not know that they had been exposed to the virus — which is usually only spread by infected mouse or rat droppings, but is believed to demonstrate human-to-human transmission — when they left the boat at Saint Helena when it docked at the remote South Atlantic island.”

BOOM!! Cowboy that.

An Argentinian landfill is the source of the virus ,All the people infected went bird watching around a land fill for some reason

lol. Omg. I can’t argue with stupid. It was TWO(2) people that went bird watching. If it wasn’t airborne, how did the others on the ship get it? Why is the ship still quarantined? They are away from Argentina are they not?

Please respond again to prove how stupid you truly are.

I also brought up all that before you. Pleas just read the damn link. Got damn.

It’s not except for people with their heads in the sand saying it’s not human to human when everyone is literally saying it is. Except them. Them. Those 2. Who do you believe?
There is a known strain that is human to human, been known for awhile, but it is still rare. Doesn't spread like Covid

Spread panic? You must be a Dem. It’s a fact it’s human to human whether you want to admit or not. I don’t watch the View and the elephants. I’m a proud Republican.

And “bro”, how did I spread panic? By telling the truth? That’s all you will get from me, the truth.

This threads gonna get locked before Hantavirus even makes it to America lol.
Good. It should from misinformation. I literally posted a link that said it’s human to human but no. People want to argue. Whatever. Let em suffer the consequences.

Actually you are correct. I did say I was going to put you on ignore but forgot about. Notice I claim my wrongs and fully admit to being wrong? You should try that and so should a lot more liars here as well.

I’m glad some of you guys dismiss any idea of a respiratory virus which can easily be spread and also has a high mortality risk. You can serve as my canary in the mine If one arrives. This virus has such a high mortality risk that it is unlikely to start a pandemic. That’s only if some Chinese lab doesn’t re-engineer it. The bugs were here long before us and Will still be here long after us. respect them.

This virus seems to have a relatively low reproductive rate (R0) compared to COVID. The H2H variant appears to have a rate of 2.12 compared to COVID's 2.5-6+, which can be lowered if people do common courtesy acts like masking, quarantining, and distancing. That R0 value is basically how many people will statistically become infected from one infected person.

If people do the bare minimum, the R0 will drop to below 1 and the virus will peter out – unable to infect enough hosts to replace those who either die or clear the infection.

And make no mistake – this is not COVID. The flu sticks around every year and has an R0 that hovers a little over 1 and it is half as lethal as COVID. This disease has an R0 that, unimpeded, is double that of seasonal influenza and has a case fatality rate around 35% – roughly 10-30 times as lethal as COVID. There is no cure. There is no vaccine. People are already trying to sell ivermectin as the cure, to which I say:
Stop It Michael Jordan GIF

Also, even if someone survives hantavirus, it's ***very*** likely they will be permanently disabled via kidney (renal) and cardiopulmonary (heart, lungs, and capillaries) impairment. This isn't something to **** around about and I'm thankful it's in Europe, because Lord knows we wouldn't do **** to curtail the spread here in the States.

Rant over. I'm sure this'll get deleted for partisanship when it's just the ****** truth, so enjoy it while it's here, I guess.

Now, that said, I don't think this'll break containment. The low R0 and long incubation period means it should be easier to contact trace. Similar to smallpox or polio. If it gets out of Europe, all bets are off, but my money is on the Euros.

Grab some **** paper just in case, though.
