My first as a single man, and as I was in a local place eating a Mexican dinner, this game was on.
Brett Favre, I never heard of him, lol, the weather had my attention more than the game, 40 degrees, driving rain, winds 35 gusting to 50.
Favre was amazing, and his legend was born that night.

Reminds me of the Halloween storm of 98. Had to be close to a foot of snow after a layer of ice. Trees down everywhere. I was drunk, underage, leaving a kegger around closing time. Had to get out and pull a 20-30 branch out of Normal & A intersection In front of two cop cars.

Favre’s college football highlights at Southern Miss are a combination of both chaos and art. Simply beautiful!

I think it was 97, but don't care enough to look it up and be sure

Halloween 1959 Huskers beat Oklahoma and they carried goal posts down O street. An older coworker of mine was 9 and went to the game. Also got to go down O street with the crowd. He has some great stories.

Very cool man, grew up loving Favre.

I was a 6YO in 1994, and I had talked my newly divorced parents into letting me wear a Darth Vader costume for Halloween, (I remember being told it was too scary for school so it made it even cooler to me). They still took me and my sister out trick or treating anyway.

I member it was frigid and trying to run in that darn rubber full head helmet with tinted orange goggles... I couldn't see for ****!!! Was all fogged up! My dad would shout put it back on!!! I was begging I can't see dad!!! Lol. He eventually let me keep it up and pull it down for doors lol

IIRC, the storm happened just days before Halloween and the city "cancelled" Halloween due to downed power lines. I remember that very well... Was 10.

I too remember. Spent the week cutting and moving trees. Had a buddy with a truck and i had a chainsaw. We were 17. Made close to 20k that week. Life was just easier being young full of energy and good looking. Now at 44 i look like a troll, wouldnt even leave the house with temps like that. And I dont make 20k in a month let alone a week.

Aye, I remember it well. The seas were mad that day! Had to walk up hill both ways. We were lucky it broke -20 degrees that day.

The '98 Texas loss was bad because it was raining in Colorado and I had to take my son out for trick or treating after the game

When did girls start dressing up as slutty as possible for Halloween?

I feel like that started to happen in the later 90's?

God I loved that.
