Cautious optimism for this season. A lot of teams will be good in the league this year though. It's going to be tough... but we've got a pretty decent roster loaded up. It will be the first time we will be sufficiently manned at Guard, Wing, Forward, and Center with guys that can make plays and guard multiple positions on defense.

I'm hoping Haith has learned his lesson in early games, although we tend to forget that the Aussie bolted the week before the game, leaving little time to prepare for his absence.

On paper this is without question Frank Haith's most talented team since he has been here. Now lets see if he can mold and mesh this team to make a serious run.

I'm wondering how Korita, Joiner, and Jackson mesh into the guard lineup. Korita's a junior now. He's got to step up and become a legitimate contributor and Joiner has to learn how to shoot reliably as does Jackson. Those three playing well could mean the difference between good and great. Also, I keep forgetting about Curran Scott. I don't want to be able to forget about Scott. He's got the talent to be a double digit scorer for us. Hopefully he lives up to that talent in a TU uniform.

Must, resist, the urge to believe super-early pre-season hype. You've done this before Jesse. Remember. Must keep blue and gold glasses off of nose for... a little while... longer. Must not drink...

Oh, what the hell!

I think Scott has the potential to be one of our best players next season. His ability to draw fouls is awesome.

I like to build up the disappointment for Bigzit now. In case you hadn’t figured out by now, I’m playing a long term troll game with a drinking game component. Every melt thread he starts is a drink. You have to really wind him up to get a buzz.

We were also excited the year ORU beat us in the opener and the year the OSU extension team beat us. I will have very cautious optimism.

Is it bad that I read this in the voice of William Shatner? And now, it's transformed into Christopher Walken.

Korita does a lot of things well, just not any one thing great. Joiner seemed to hit a wall last season. I'm hoping with the full summer of conditioning at this level, he won't tire out like that again. We've all seen videos and pictures of him in the gym. He is a workaholic.

Jackson- his outside shot may be worse than Shaq's when he got to campus. He is a good ball handler and a plus perimeter defender. He can attack the rim like Shaq did but he should never ever shoot from outside of 10 feet. His shot was fugly.

I’m aware of all this. Just saying they need improvement. Korita needs to look to score more 2.8 ppg just won’t cut it from a junior who starts games sometimes.

Korita's shot seemed much better last year. He just did not take many.

Nonconference performance will pretty much determine season.

Agree on both counts. Koritas field goal percentages improved last season. But he scored the exact same number of ppg as his freshman year. He could be stand to be more aggressive offensively in my opinion.

Agree....His forte is making his teammates look better....He is a very accurate and
intelligent passer, and really runs that pick play where Jeffries or Scott come from the
deep corner, get a pick at the FT line area and cut down the middle, better than
anyone.....

From the videos I have watched, Moore's not only is a good shooter, but seems to
have a very aware assist game......I will be disappointed if he doesn't make a
substantial contribution.....
