So i signed up for the "free 30 day trial" at hailstate.com tv for signing day so that I could watch the signing day show. It was "meh".

Anyways, I canceled a few days later because I'm a cheapskate and it was.... "meh"...

Today I got charged for it.... go figure that crap...

Just a word of warning to watch out for that stuff.

I have a different problem, but yes they are swindlers.

I had the service once, and was in the middle of a pay period, knowing it would be my last, close to the end of the season. I cancelled my payment so that I wouldn't be charged after the end of the current month cycle. Low and behold, they cut off my access that very second, not allowing me to access the site for the month I had already paid for.

Who does that?

True. So much **** running on it that it crashes the site the second you log on. Then you have to go all around the think closing **** and muting that ***** from Pearl River Resort. I thought it was my computer but apparently not. Make sure that your adobe flash is updated. That helped more than anything did.

This^^. Too much **** going on. If I want to pull up a schedule or roster, I can do it quicker by typing it in google than using Hailstate.

I cancelled mine on the 14th day of the 14 day free trial. I got an email stating that they were unable to to bill me the $12.95 per month the next day. Got lucky on that one I guess.

Signing up for free trials is generally not a good idea. They hound you to death. Looks like our university is not different. That's disappointing. Presumably a third party is running the thing?

In general, I don't sign up for free trials of anything if the free trial requires a credit card. Its always a pain to make sure I'm not charged and then get the damn thing canceled.

That could well be true, but the point of this "discussion within a discussion" is that it's very difficult to cancel after the free trial, and it should not be. I suppose some others have indeed expressed dissatisfaction with the entire thing though.

One time I attempted to make a Bulldog Club pledge on it and there was so much stuff popping up and advertisements and such that I simply 17ing gave up. I called Angie and got it done. 17 the entire hailstate syndrome of a cluster17.

hail state website acts as an disincentive to attempt to find out anything going on...factual or not about the Mississippi State university.

UPDATE: I just called them and them swear up and down they refunded my account. I have been charged, but not refunded. I asked them to send me email confirmation that they did refund my account. I have not received that email either. I watch the NSD show and cancelled my sub immediately following the show.

HailstateTV, Hailstate.com, Hailstate App... they are all horrid. It's not that the information or the quality of the content is bad, but they all load 1997 dial-up style.
