I think Hagans has the ability the ability to play solid defense, but when we play lesser opponents he loosens up to a very gambling type style. I don't know if he is trying to get his steals numbers up, is just more fun to gamble and get steals, or what. If you notice, he didn't gamble near as much against Winston of MSU.

On the offensive end Hagans is what he is. Very quick and able to beat his defender off the first step, but an average at best finisher and below average shooter. He is an average passer for a PG and a good FT shooter. Hagans is not going to be a superstar and carry a team, but I do think he is good enough to win if we get good play from the other positions.

Hagan's needs to be on the bench. No offense, turnover City and very little defense.
Who would we play instead of Hagan's? he is our best or second best player on the team right now. Kid plays banged up and is always playing hard and is the leader of this team. If you can't root for a kid who plays hard like him, and just struggles to get his shot to fall at times then idk what to tell you

The guy has been hurt and playing through it because we need him to. He doesn't have the luxury of sitting to get healthy.

He's absolutely our leader right now and the guy the others look to. He makes his teammates better.

On a night where buckets were hard to find, he got to the line 12 times and made them all. The easiest thing to do when you're injured is settle for jumpers, and he did the opposite all night.

Hagans made 60% of his shots at the rim last night, which is basically what he averaged last season. His finishing ability is better than “average at best.”

Overall, he’s not a bad shooter. His problem is specifically long range shots. He shoots free throws fine and hit 35% of his 2 point jump shots last season. For reference, Doron Lamb made 37% of his 2 point jump shots in 2012.

It’s three point shooting where Hagans’ percentage simply drops off a cliff.
