Interesting. So, if this is correct (who is this guy?) then Gonzaga would be his first choice and UK is the backup plan?

That’s a Gonzaga guy. This would be flipped if it was one of our guys. He’s waiting on Brown, first and foremost. Then Petersen because they are the backup. Arizona is the emergency contingency plan.

Kind of shows the state of UK basketball, when here we are again in the off season waiting a grad transfer to try and salvage a decent season next year. Last year we lost to FLA, and this year may be Gonzaga. Ugh.
Yeah and then went on win the SEC by 3 games, embarrass the team Blackshear spurned us for (twice)

desperate times for UK indeed

Dude (dudette?). Surely you can understand the way you formulated this response, and the phasing you chose, is necessarily going to make at least some folks think you're a troll.

Ok, if you say so. I simply restated what the dude (who I questioned to begin with) said. That's exactly what he is saying he thinks. Feel free to think I am a troll, I don't care and it doesn't bother me. Whatever makes you happy go for it.

I hope if we are his back up plan then we get 2 of those reclass big guys and then we say no thanks... We don't need to be anyone's backup plan I just do not get it all the minutes to be had at the 5 with the studs he would be surrounded by and a chance at a National Championship and you're waiting to pull the trigger ???? Man this is just mind boggling to me doesn't he understand that Calipari has coached Cousins, Davis, WCS, KAT, and Bam he has expanded each of these guys games and made them better players even in the 1 year he had them and in some cases multiple years!!!!!!

It's been discussed by many that no one knows what Haarms is thinking. Heck, they don't even know where he is staying since they had to vacate the campus. This guy has no handlers and no family staying in the country so the only info you are going to get is straight from Haarms and he is not talking at the moment. This Gonzaga fan is acting like he knows what is going on when in actuality he doesn't...

You have to be amused at the foolish conceit of Gonzaga fans and their bloggers.

Same number of titles in program history as Morehead State. Same number of Final Fours as George Mason, and half as many as Bulter.

And yet, Kentucky is a back-up plan to Gonzaga?

If Haarms goes there it'll be because he believes Cal is pulling in someone who'll compromise his chance to start, or because he figures he'll be a perpetual screen setter for Clarke and Boston and he wants to be more central to an offense in his final year. It'll have nothing to do with the allure of that perennial also-ran in that half-assed conference in the rain belt.

Use your brain, people. Yes, the guy who posted this on Twitter is a Zags fan. But totally remove that from the equation, and it's still clear Haarms isn't entirely sold on UK.

We literally have ONE guy returning who played a minute for UK last year, and that guy is a small forward/power foward.

We have one guy coming in who is a true center/rim protector, and while he has great potential, he's considered raw.

Haarms walks into to UK looking at 25-35 minutes a game without question, and yet he's still looking around. I don't know if he ends up here or not. I certainly don't know what's going into the decision.

What I do know, with 100 percent certainty, is that those who were saying this was a "done deal" for UK have no clue what they're talking about.

A college basketball guy said on Tom Leach show today said he is now also thinking about playing in Spain so who knows I am not going to get up and Harms about it.

But , we need a big man.
This.

IMO the delay right now is CBB vs Overseas. Especially with being an European prospect anyways. He may just be ready to head back across the pond, and start making money, similar to Humphries.

"It seems like" and "I would bet" is not saying Gonzaga is HAARMS #1, he is saying it is his opinion that if the Gonzaga player stays in the draft, he feels they will get him. But you can take the worst possible outcome for UK from that tweet if you want to. I took it as the guy feels like Haarms list Gonzaga as one of the 3 best possible destinations. Just like KSR liked UK's position with him.

Yeah the Number 1 recruiting class in the nation! We have fallen off the map in College basketball. Get out and get some fresh air and quit worrying.

If Haarms goes elsewhere and we get no one else we will be in dire straights if Ware and Jackson are our only 2 big men next year.

I don't know that she is pretty. Maybe that is the issue. She may look like a troll and going to Spokane is as far way as he can get from her, without going back to the Netherlands. ;)

She looks pretty good
