I didn't realize that he was a legacy recruit. His dad was a walk on fullback. He won't replace Luke's athleticism but it should be nice to have a 6'5" QB who can see over some of our O linemen's shoulders. It will be fun to see how he does in spring camp. Not sure 3 scholarship QBs is enough to get us through the year but we'll see I guess.

And he can actually throw down field. Here’s hoping he’s Frost’s version of Herbert
Looks like he needs to hit the training table hard. Skinny legs. The dude appears to have a lot of potential but the level he played at in high school is concerning.

I am nitpicking here but Haarberg is very athletic. He's just a different type of athlete than Luke. Luke is fast and quick where Haarberg is more of a long strider, not Luke speed but fast enough to run this offense where they have to respect him. He runs a sub 11 100 meter dash at 6-5. Bringing size to the equation helps.

Then you add in the fact that he is a guy who can throw a ball over 80 yards and is decent at throwing while rolling out. He can high jump 6-7. The guy has body control and has 11 inch hands which makes it easier to handle the ball.

He will have to become adjusted to jumping a few levels of football but the athletic part is covered.

I'm happy he chose Nebraska. He has potential and only time will tell.
Hopeful, add in a good O'line, good seasoned receivers and Fidone pans out.
It's all going to take time, alot of hard work and perhaps some breaks to go our way.

If he's quick to see what's going on and is able to make good reads and snap decisions at the next level, then there's something to look forward to at the QB position. Would be nice to see an in-state kid at the helm for awhile.

A lot of similarities to Berringer. Amazing how quickly he has become the future darling of the program, at least for now.

Well If I could give him any advice it would be to start listening to Georgia Florida Line and begin chewing and you will have a better chance.

We're you banned under a different screen name and came back angry at the world by chance? You come across as the kid holding his breath and stomping his feet begging for somebody to pay attention to him.
If so, lol At least I don't claim to be a Fan and come here dogging my college team, runnin scared and cryin like a you know what

Well then, you should contact Mr. Haarberg and give him that sage advice, I'm sure he'd be thrilled having it come from such an authority on "winning games."
I'm not sitting around worrying about this kid. Like I said. Time will tell
It is up to the individual. The opportunity will be there right in front of him just like it were with Tommie, Scott, Eric, Jamaal or any other QB prospect at N.
Earn it!

True, but it's the same competition level Frost played against in H.S. 🤷‍♂️

Kid has all the tools. Hit the training table and steer clear of Super Mario. Things will be good.

Yes. Completely. He's 6-5 and 185 lbs. Dude is skinny. I was 6' 175 lbs in high school playing RB in a much higher class than he played in. I got abused but linebackers and D linemen and they weren't usuallly 250 to 300 lbs. The guy needs to get thicker especially in his lower legs.

Secondly the level of talent and the sophistication of defenses he played against in high school is quite a ways below the normal D-1 college QB recruit. The leap is much larger for him than a kid who played QB in Class A in Nebraska. I'm not saying it can't happen at all. I'm saying it might take him a little longer than a kid who played in a large school classification.

Oh ok. Yeah, it might take a year or two or three possibly to know what we have.
Its up to the kid. Is he tough, a winner mentality
Yes, time will tell.

If a 8 ft tall x 5 ft wide board was placed 15 yards away from him... Can he throw a ball that will hit the board?

What if it’s tied to a golf cart and moving?

Asking for a friend.

I noticed he had a lot of interest from the Ivy Leagues which means he's also pretty darn smart, which is a major plus at QB. I am not concerned with his ability to run as fast as McCaffrey but that be able to hit receivers downfield, something last year's QBs couldn't do at all. You just can't teach that skill any more than you can teach a kid to be fast. With this offense throwing ability vastly outweighs athleticism at QB, in my opinion.

Yep, a good OLine is precisely what we need above all else (except possibly a decent Special Teams). I'm blindly guessing we'll get close to that next year. If so, we'll all have some fun. :)

I'm excited about this guy except for one comment he made that he knows he needs to work on his throwing motion and is counting on our QB guru to get that motion fixed.

11.1 100M and 6’4” high jump PRs. He’s plenty athletic enough to play the psn. Can he throw?

I saw this and I thought these were old marks because an article I read said sub 11 and 6-7. After research I see that you posted the official marks. The sub 11 and 6-7 must be from practice?

Also saw in an article that he considers himself a pro-style guy. Knows he's not going to juke anybody but can get you 10 yards when needed so fast enough to move chains.

If the kid can make some throws and has a couple of good RBs, he’s athletic enough to operate the offense.
