Any of you booze-heads mess with Copper and Kings? I've never had any of their stuff, not sure i've even seen it- but a buddy put in a large order of stuff for me to bring back since you can't really find it in Alabama. Brandy and gin aren't my bag, but to each their own.

Best random movie cameo's, imo:

You will see a loser dweeb journo dork use the phrase "Houston, we have a problem" at some point this weekend regardless of the outcome.

This season of Billions just hasnt really delivered in the first 2 episodes... slow playing, maybe- but without the Chuck vs Axe storyline- it took a big step backward.

Sean Miller somehow still has a job.

Rich Brooks having a rapper granddaughter is still something that makes me laugh.

Chris Beard and Kelvin Sampson keep coming up in the Alabama coaching search discussions. I dont know if either one would want the job since its a pretty awful one right now, but either would be a big upgrade.

The Railbird thing has some decent min-tier acts. but the whole music festival scene is gonna be a no for me, man. I dont mind an outdoor show in the summer- but after a couple of hours- i'm out.

I've heard of Old Crow, Tyler Childers, Robert Earl Keen and Gary Clark Jr. The Manchester Music Festival has better acts.

Sorry Geesefeeder. I'm going to be a solid pass on this one unfortunately. Love me some Tyler, and Raconteurs and Old Crow would be solid too, but not going to sweat my balls off standing around in a field with a bunch of hipsters for two days for anything less than the "World Class Music Acts" they have been touting for months. Could any of these acts even sellout an arena? DIsappointing.

I’m pretty confident Alabama makes a really good hire this time. I’m sure Auburn and Tennessee’s success is eating at them pretty bad.

*I’m always skeptical of NBA guys coming to college, although I also thought Avery Johnson would be better than he was.

*Band names and rapper names are equally preposterous.

-I don't agree with much of the "golden days" were better takes but kids shouldn't have the access to porn that they do. They should feel the struggle of that one wrinkled page you tore out of dilapidated hustler you and the boys found randomly on the flood wall or trying to catch a nip on channel 96/98. Gives you a real appreciation of the world, IMO.

-I won't be hitting the Railbird with that group coming.

-BBdk and I have a bet that Miller is the coach for Zona next season. Looking better and better for my side every day.

-Talk about overplaying your hand. He tried to get a 25M payday/ job out of Nike over a guy that everyone already knew was taking money. What a dumbass... and people actually wanted this dude to run for president.

-Kansas and Arizona are the only 2 programs that would even talk to Ayton, despite being the best player in the country for like 3 years.

-Wayne is a more pompous Booker. What a negative dude.

-Love the Rax fam on social. Great looking crew.

Anth - I think we're going to win against Houston even without PJ; UNC is a little more concerning. Still like our squad.

But regarding the injury - yeah - I'm negative. Primarily because the exact same slow-playing BS from Cal happened last year with Vanderbilt.

Great, but doesn't change my opinion. It's a well informed body of work decision.

None taken, chad. My boys have super-douchey, made up bro-country names. Perfect for what they are. New jaw breakers and gold ropes have been ordered for baseball szn. They are total pricks and most every parent in the league despises them and me.
The palpable envy of other parents is an amazing feeling. MIGHTY FINE SPERM I RECKON

Gary Clark Jr. is the only true superstar on that list, and they don't even have him as a headliner. People will go "just to go" but way overpriced for the collective list they put together.

-I wasn't always so negative. I blame 2015.

-Bourbon and Beyond and Hometown Rising have much better acts. Railbird seems similar to Forecastle. Not my cup of tea ATKOT.

-So far Avenatti has named Bol and Ayton. Don't think anyone is surprised here.

Yeah that lineup isn’t pulling me off the water. Raconteurs best of the selection, imo. Now that Bourbon festival, that’s a lot better.

This isn’t where I parked my car...:joy:

I mean it’s an outdoor festival with bourbon in a college town right before the semester starts - who gives a flying touch what the bands are. Would’ve killed to have an event like that when I was at UK in the dog days of summer - especially since I was always at UK in the summer anyway.

Re: Kids today.

A couple weeks ago, I was a guest critic for a friend’s architecture studio at UC. Those kids are covered in tattoos. Man.

I was wearing a company issued hoodie and introduced myself by saying, “How do you do, fellow kids?” And I killed from there on out, obvs.
After being a guest juror for years, I taught a second year design studio at NYIT. Best 8 months of my 25 years of doing this ****.

This is a very, very solid point

Shame they didn't land Sturgill. 15 minutes away from his hometown; would have changed the game.

Overall, not bad. I'm looking forward to it. Probably Day 2 only though.

The problem with these festivals is that they jam them with a ton of unknown bands and make a 2 or 3 day event. They need to start trimming the fat and making a wodie one day event.

Raconteurs, Gary Clark Jr, Tyler Childers, Old Crow, Robert Earle Keene, Billy Strings, The Wooks....that would be a solid one day festival.

Maybe I’m just young-at-heart or maybe it’s because y’all are some negative bitches about everything, but what’s wrong with live outdoor music and brews with friends?

I get never wanting to attend Coachella or something like that, but Bunbury was a nice day a few years back. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Took 20 minutes to get home. Beers were easy.

Rambling out good ideas of how to design their projects was fun, but smacking down the “academics” on the jury with real world, “position of knowledge” competence was the best part.

“Oh, yeah. I used to be an architect, tough racket. *sips fake drink.” —- “False, you cataloged samples and photoshopped diagrams for 14 months, never got licensed, and then became a professor. You were never an architect.” (Didn’t actually say that - but everyone GOT IT.)
