The rumors, texts, phone calls on the way home from Richie, Suter, etc. were incredible.
Gone are the days when a ****** poster bringing in politics like that ^ guy would be totally demolished by GYERO enforcers, followed by a personal computer hack by Hermmmmm, never to be heard from again.
That weeekend Gillispie was canned was flat out nuts.
Friday - He’s fired. He also gets chased down by Alan Cutler which made the whole deal even more embarrassing albeit entertaining.
I head to Lexington that afternoon to see the lass. We’re out for dinner at the Merrick Inn and 73 starts calling me in all out panick more about Lorenzo Romar being the front runner. Gracious.
After dinner I watched UL absolutely destroy Arizona in the Sweet 16 while looking absolutely untouchable and our their way to a title. T Will does the damn river dance. Pitino gets asked several times in the post game press conference who he would recommend and with a straight face he tells everyone Travis Ford or John Pelphrey knowing damn well they weren’t ready. SOB was doing his best to sabotage the search.
Saturday it’s an all out love fest with UL on the day off before they played Mich St in the Elite 8.
Heard that Donovan was offered again but said no and that Barnhart was targeting Rick Barnes. I started drinking heavily.
Sunday afternoon - Watched UL **** the bed against Mich State. Nice.
Later that night was out for dinner with the family and had it confirmed that Pratt & Barnhart were meeting with Calipari in Chicago & that barrring a catastrophe & working out the particulars this deal
should happen. Touch you, college basketball. We’re back.
What a wild range of emotions.

Probably somewhere between 75-100 people there with me. Excitement=Palpable.
Sure enough, along with a few (3) security guys, Cal comes out.
He stops to sign a couple of autographs with numerous individuals yelling their adulation and venerations.
Cal looks up in mid autograph and says to none in particular.....
We'll see how you feel when I lose my first game.

Have no idea which UK team shows up tonight. The good/confident one we saw during that 10 game winning streak or the bad/listless one we've seen the last week. Either way, we figure to learn a lot about them. Championship contenders don't **** the bed three games in a row, especially in March. Also, feel free to make a shot, Keldon. 11 for 37 from the field (including 1 for 10 from three) since the first UT game ain't gonna cut it.

Been doing this thing lately where I forget about 9pm games against **** teams and its really paying off. Sometimes I’ll just play around with my dog, read the internet, or watch antique roadshow. Might watch that show yall love about Mormons jacking each other off tonight. Sounds great.
