My wife, 08, and myself were watching TV last night when my wife got a text. Wife checks her phone and it was a message from 07, who was in the next room...

07 - "mom we need to buy more juice."

:joy:

Kids are amazing.

Torrential rain from tonight through the day tomorrow. Can't imagine a better night to stay inside and watch Fran McCaffery hang a double-digit loss on IU in front of a rabid (kinda) Carver-Hawkeye Arena crowd.

-Sotto for the 2nd time last night. That place is really good.

-Low key, for having a basketball game, weekend. Cain't wait.

-Cal focused in on Isiah Todd as his reclass target, not sure I like those tea leaves, but I do like having a multi year big that has a decent shot.

-Parking garage and retail space predictably going where Kennedy's lot. That whole area is completely different than 5 years ago. Target is about complete, the student center, new dorms. Wonder how long the rest of those little retail spots can make it until UK buys to build up? It looks better but is kind of losing it's charm.

-Spring training in 2 years is in the plans for the boys will be my first trip out to that part of the desert.

- Won a district 'ship last night. Back-to-back for us. Back-to-back 20 win seasons. Nice little turn around for a program that has had 2 very rough 4-win seasons during the last 5 years. And I'll be the first person to tell you, it's all about the talent. Jimmy's and Joe's matter.

- Update on the checkerboard fad . . . the kids love it. My guys are wanting me to get them new uniforms since we won district again (we got some grey ones for them last year as a reward). They went on Nike's website and mocked some up with UK's checkerboard pattern with the script across the front of the jersey. They looked good, but I couldn't help but cringe inside.

These kids aren't big UK fans either. That's what I found so intriguing.

- So this is the one weekday in the last 2 months where I've had some down time and everyone decides not to post. Thanks!

I don’t know- I guess I just don’t care as much about ending generational poverty as most, but why is making 8-10 teenagers a year wait a year before they make stupid sums of $$$ the biggest travesty of all-time?

Are internships a travesty? Is residency a travesty?

Ok- just saying it isn’t fair- big F’ing deal. We all have to eat a little bit of **** in our chosen profession.

And these dumbasses like our boy Playball06- who looooooove bitching about how terrible NCAA basketball is are the same ones wanting to make it even worse.

We’re still going to have OADs, morons- now we won’t get to see Anthony Davis, Zion, etc play college basketball at all.

What I’m saying is- F off everyone who doesn’t agree with me.

Are players going to be required to be 18 before the draft or the start of the season because it’s not unusual to have a summer or early fall birthday and graduate at 17.

If I remember correctly classes had already started when Knox turned 18.

You know what isn’t fair, hitting rock 34 inches deep when your wife is dead set on a basement.

You know what else isn’t fair, in that same conversation being told that there is a chance we may have twins based on the blood work numbers that tell doctors what’s what.

These are just a few things driving my increased bourbon consumption.

If 18 years old is the line we drew in the sand saying you are considered an adult, if at that time you are / will be considered in the top 1% in the world at your chosen profession, you should be able to get paid. Making guys wait for a year just so some old, rich people can get even richer off them, and not give them any of the millions back is just complete BS.

-Paying your dues and working for something has little to do with allowing players to earn money off their image. Not to mention these guys have a different professional experience because they have a very small finite time to chase their dream or earn money playing ball.

-I really think a year of college is great for these guys and great for the NBA. Gets them ready for big boy ball, responsibilities, away from parents and handlers, typically around good mentors and allows them to fail. Also, increases the NBA brand by bringing UK fans to every franchise that has a former player. Just let them have agents and sell their image. It's so easy.

-Believe his 401k is already liquid as he's flush in the bourbon trade.

Kraft, 77, is accused of paying for sexual acts at Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter

Presumption of innocence is gone imo

Tiger goes to Waffle Houses to find his whores. How dare you sully his name by associating him with an Asian massage parlor!
