Scotch is where dreams go to die. Poppy and Olive are sucking on appletini's and still have assigned a gender to their new labradoodles. Life is good.

Even though the Knicks should have drafted Dennis Smith over Frank Ntilivika, I’m not sure they didn’t get the best of this trade. If they weren’t the Knicks those two #1 picks and Smith is one hell of a haul.

What brand of Scotch? Johnny Walker, Dewars etc?

Is Denham Springs close to PTI? I just landed a project there, and never felt worse about helping someone’s hometown!

Of course I live in Denham Springs. That’s been an ongoing joke for years.

Does PTI (pti) live in Denham Springs?
Does rogue live in Layton, Florida?
Does drxman own a kayak?

Scotch is amazing, my favorite drink by far

Johnny Walker Black is the basic

Glenlivet 12 years and up is great

Glenmorangie is a milder easier beginner good scotch - I would recommend the single malt
Portwood

Glennfidich if you like a little smokier

Haven’t gotten into the new Japanese ones but hear they are fantastic

Best part is it doesn’t consist of a bunch of hipsters and losers trading bottles on secondary markets like comic book collectors in the 90s

Macallan 12 is my go to. Laphroaig is fun but nobody in their right mind would make that a regular sipper. tire fire all up in yer head.

Teacher's Highland Cream stacks up to any mid and upper blend (Pinch, JWBlack etc.) I read somewhere that it has a higher malt content than just about any other blended.

- Find an alcohol you like. Buy it. Drink it. Catch a buzz. Get in a fight with your wife. Not that hard.

- No clue how people can travel regularly for work. **** would wear me down. That redeye can GF.

- F the Super Bowl. What a damn circus.

- Not a good look for the Colorado sheriff laughing and making light of serial killer Ted Bundy escaping in a real time news interview. JMHO.

Those NFL Films Super Bowl highlight shows that are always on during Super Bowl week are crack to me. The music, the narration, the camera following the ball through the air...love those things. DVR'd every single one from 1975 to 2000. Knocking them out each night while I wait to let the puppy out so that she can wallow around on the frozen ground before coming in four minutes later and defecating on my floor.

If the Rams want any chance of winning, they better come out in the yellow and blue unis instead of that white and navy with muted gold BS. Very important imo

The super bowl is an excuse to meet with people, drink, and eat like **** in the dead of winter. It’s alright by me [thumb2]

My wife got me a whiskey of the month membership for a gift a year ago for 6 months. I would get a new bottle of some sort of unknown whiskey every month. I don’t drink often enough to finish off a bottle a month so now anyone that visits me sees 6 unfinished random whiskey bottles and some other normal stuff so I have to spend the first five minutes explaining I’m not a raging alcoholic. Currently drinking Old Puteney single malt scotch from this collection and it’s quite good. I’ve now come to the conclusion that basically any whiskey is good by the time the 3rd cube starts melting.

Does anybody refer to an open bottle of whiskey as unfinished?

It’s not freaking beer.

Big, if true:

Milwaukee-based Marcus Corporation has bought Movie Tavern and its assets from VSS-Southern Theatres.

The purchase includes the Brannon Crossing Movie Tavern in Nicholasville.

Marcus Theatres is the fourth largest movie chain in the United States, according to a Friday news release from the company.

The acquisition gives the company 22 new Movie Tavern locations. Marcus Theatres now owns or operates 1,097 screens at 90 locations in 17 states.

The release said the new location will be branded Movie Tavern by Marcus.

Having 6 completely random half-drank (is that better doc??) bottles of whiskey in addition to regular bottles of what you like and wine and then tequila/vodka whatever with a pregnant wife I feel makes me look like a bit of a drunk to strangers but I like your all’s style if not.

- No clue how people can travel regularly for work. **** would wear me down. That redeye can GF.

I've been traveling weekly for 15 years. The key is routine and making life easy on yourself. We just hired this dude who never traveled before. Kid's a train wreck: two bags to check, does stupid crap like leaving his bag at the hotel on Thursday's when we fly out so we have to go pick it up, even simple things like having a leather laptop bag that requires you to buckle it instead of zipping it up which adds 30 seconds wherever you go. I told him to get that ish cleaned up this weekend (new bags, carry-on, etc.); I think he thinks I'm joking.

Rules of thumb:
  • Always carry-on (no brainer); if it's a long trip take advantage of laundry services as opposed to carrying big bags.
  • Do not do redeye flights unless you're going to Europe or Asia
  • Avoid flights before 7AM especially if there is a 9AM going to the same place
  • Make time for working out - especially on the days you fly
  • If you can, stay at the same hotel and eat around the same times - stick to a routine

I read that's exactly what they are doing. Throwbacks. Apparently they wore them earlier this year.
