-So the Cal girls aren't allowed to clap back when he's doing well? Guarentee they were getting blown up early season. Who cares if they're snarky after 3 good wins. A few of you all pay way to much attention to that stuff. Could be worse, imagine if we had Little Pitino, Jurich(×2) and Petrino all working in the athletic department.

-Saturday was a blast. Crowd was big game Rupp mode. Really good pregame crew. Post gamed on my couch alone. Sleep in time to feel great yesterday.

-Richards is blocking everything the days. Hell of an asset to have at our disposal just waiting to come in and change the flow.

-Self is great with bigs but his young guards always struggle. Grimes was a nonfactor.

-Not much room for a let down game with Bama and SH on the resume but we're building a case for that 1 seed.

* If you are following a coaches daughter on twitter, I don't think you get to whine about what she tweets about. Good grief.

* ENG does need to wear some UK gear on the bench. It's too late for the tat, but have some self awareness, kid.

* Gotta take care of business in Nashville. I'm always wary of that game. Following 3 straight ranked opponents, I'm extry wary.

* Bringing Marge down for an overnighter for the Tennessee game. Probably have a mid afternoon Valentine's dinner somewhere before heading to the Hyatt.

* I thought IQ and Herro both passed on too many open looks vs Kansas. But feeding the big boys was working.

* I was impressed with the D Kansas played on the perimeter for the first 3/4 of the game. They were making every pass difficult. But man, Hagans takes it to another level. That play where he was denying his man then came and stole it from another guy from behind was a thing of beauty.

* Nothing gives Rupp Arena a case of redass more than the shot clock winding down on offense.

College basketball.

* Feeling a big week from Tyler Herro this week because it's two road games and his best games have been on the road. That will happen when you renege on your commitment to the state school in the middle of your season. You learn how to deal with extra heat.

* After watching Vanderbilt push Tennessee to the limit on Wednesday...why in the world did they hold the ball against Kentucky last time? It was the slowest game in the SEC since the installation of the 30-second shot clock. Anyway, hope they do it again. This team offensive rebounds too well to be beaten in a slog game.

* My dude Will Wade has a squad and then some. Haven't scored under 83 in conference play yet, just flying up and down the court. Waters is such a tough matchup. He makes hard shots look easy.

* Missouri was up 14 on LSU with 2:05 left and lost in overtime. Why don't teams call timeouts against press in late game situations? Kentucky doesn't do it either and it kills me. Missouri had 3 timeouts in their pocket.

* Another reason why Saturday was so great was that Syracuse lost again, but that game was actually physically hard to watch.

* Late in the Michigan State/Purdue game, Matt Haarms, who is 7-2, took a charge on Nick Ward, who is 6-7 and has the same vertical as me. But CBS got the shot they wanted, which was Haarms lying on his back, yelling LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

At 7-2, please make a play on the ball and be somebody. Mercy.

* What happened to Florida?

* Quite a weekend hosting out of towners, two of which were celebrating 40th birthdays. Did a lot of the usual, with some local flair mixed in. Bike tour of the brewery scene -- Miel, Nola, Urban South, Courtyard, Parleaux. Dinner at Emeril's. Game Watch party at Fat Harry's. Bourbon Street. Had one guy end up in jail for getting out of hand at Harrah's. Good time were had by all (except for that guy).

* Good to see Nick Richards turned into a dependable role player. We mostly know what we're going to get (and NOT get) from him -- defense, energy, and rebounding. Good enough.

* Jones needs to read GYERO more, as we've pointed out consistently all season that Herro's poor shooting rarely effects his energy or performance otherwise.

* I guess that's why the NBA sees such a high upside for PJ. Given space to work with, he's just so gd athletic against other big men. And his shot eventually will start falling, which will make him a dangerous threat at the next level. Wouldn't surprise me if he's one of those guys that's better as a pro than in college.

* I'll never quit hating Brad Calipari and his appearance. Don't think it has even the tiniest little effect on the team -- I just simply hate him. That's fair, right?

* Anthony Davis demanding a trade......what's unique about the NBA is how limited a superstar's choices are. Within about 3 minutes, some nerdy writer over at SI has scanned thru every contract in the league and determined there's only about 4 places he can end up, and each one involves a tremendously complicated process.

the lakers are a great fit, because they're already $17 under the salary cap for 2021. if they can forgo the draft rights to combo guard nikila bolshkvili, who they drafted with a compensatory pick in the 2nd round last year then stashed in the French league, they can sign and waive the retired rony turiaf, use their veterans exception, and offer 2 protected first rounders and kyle kuzma for davis.

* I'm so done with food delivery apps. It's never delivered under an hour, the food is always cold, and you're lucky if 1 out of 4 times it's actually the person/vehicle as described in the app. God forbid you need to contact someone, you're SOL. Totally done. Waitr, Uber, etc -- all the same. Terrible. Just too many working parts for those guys to deliver.

The thing about ENG is, sure his family gives him hell for his outfits, but does he honestly not have friends? No one on the team is comfortable enough to clown him out of dressing like that?

People have been asking us that about BBdK for years, but there's nothing we can do. He sports the metallic blue shirt and white tie combo regardless, just completely oblivious to our shared concern.

Nicholasville finally got a good delivery service and the featured restaurants are Captain D’s and KFC. Honestly can’t get anymore Nicholasville than that.

Speaking of fast food, haven’t had a bite of it all month. Went from eating it almost 3x a day to not at all. Combine that with no beer since the citrus bowl, few nights a week of cardio and weights, I’m down 9lbs. My Columbia PFG fishing shirts are fitting looser, I’m sleeping better and I feel amazing. Just need to keep it up for the rest of the year and imagine how good I’ll look.

UK baseball fan day continues to be a great event. Coach Ming is kind of a dork but the dude is all class. Hope he sticks around. Got my baseball poster hung up in the office to go along with a cool new UK blue baseball. Almost mashing SZN. Stay tuned to my social media pages for updates

Was really skeptical of the teal album but it really grew on me this weekend. Probably because I’m a nerd loser

I wasn’t expecting a 6:30 AM Monday morning porn reference. Between being tired and at the airport, plus the name “Angela White” instead of something more obvious like Brandi Love, I feel confident I have a good defense if asked by IT why I did a Google image porn search within the firewall. But I think it’s fair, given the circumstances, for a NSFW courtesy warning to have been provided.

-I liked the Teal Album, didn't love it though. As far as cover albums go, it isn't touching Umphrey's McGee's Zonkey album :fire::fire::fire:

-NBA off-court theater is the best. Literally can't get enough of it.

Sounds like Lonnie Johnson is climbing the ranks a bit as we get closer to the NFL draft. We probably didnt appreciate him enough while he was here.

Started a couple shows this weekend, The Informer, on Amazon prime which started slow but im a sucker for those "anti-terrorism" action-dramas. Tried to watch Abducted in Plain Sight but after 30 minutes, the frustration with everyone involved was too much for me to continue. Idaho is a weird place.

The matchups with UT will come down to the last player to flex toward the crowd. Between Williams/Schofield and Peej/Travis, there will be some serious lower protruding jawing going on.

Nobody that has a Moby Dick within driving distance should even mess with Captain D's/Long John Silver.

Weezer always sounds like the ride into high school to me. I can take or leave their music, but it definitely hits on the nostalgia factor.

AD to the Lakers? Would probably mean that Ball ends up wasting away in New Orleans.

I never really feel like any of Hagans jump shots are going to be on target- but hes made a few critical ones over the last few games. The step-back at about the 6 minute mark to give us some breathing room was big-time. Should be a separate stat for shots made when the clock is under

Am I mis-remembering a time period when guys who were injured or red-shirting wore a coat and tie on the bench? Did we really care in the 80's/90's about stuff like that? Now all the sudden Willy wants them to be head to toe UK gear? Guess they should all have to get a Wildcat tat on their bicep too? Grow up.

*You should've already been well aware of Angela White and who she is. That's on you. If you someone in GYERO mentions a female by name, best not to Google them when it could get you in trouble.

*We all have blind spots, and Brad is clearly Cal's. Don't fault Cal-Dad at all for it. It's a shame Brad doesn't have much/any self-awareness, but it's understandable that Cal can't bring him down to Earth, which would crush his delusional dreams. Commenting on someone's life from afar, Brad would be best served by either (a) legitimately trying to get into coaching and thus acting that part, or (b) ingratiating himself with all of these guys and become an agent.

*A little over a month until March, which for me signifies spring, calendar be damned.

*Turning 40 this year and decided enough is enough with the lazy and fat routine. I've been meticulously counting my calories on myfitnesspal and have exercised 28 days in a row. Feeling good right now, just need to keep it up for 337 more consecutive days to facilitate a life long habit (I understand this isn't realistic, but I'm trying it anyway). I've pulled this **** before and failed, but I'm genuinely trying to make it work this time for the long haul.

*My Dad and I are taking a quick Nashville trip in early February to get fitted at Club Champion. Driver fitting for me. Entire bag fitting for him. He's never been a long hitter, but as he's aging he continues to lose more distance. Finally have him talked into getting some sticks made for him, which I'm really hoping helps. New sticks plus senior tees for him in Men's League this year should equal more fun for him, and hopefully some wins for us, as he's my partner.

-Kentucky Proud Park is a, dare I say, game-changer for the program and also the University as a whole IMO. Place is dope. If you live in the greater Montclair area (or within driving distance), there's literally nothing else/better to do in Lexington that catch a game there. Attendance is going to be sky high moving forward for the Bat Cats. Pretty cool tbh.

-People pick on Brad quite a bit, but JC the kid doesn't help himself with this stuff. I suppose that I applaud his individualism, but if you're going to wear that fit *anywhere* in Lexington, let alone the bench at Rupp Arena, expect to hear about it.

He looked like Chris Harrison during the Gambino's years. (underrated little place to get shady 2002-2005 btw)

-Early to be talking 1 or 2 seeds IMO. Great stretch but a ton of work to do.

-Installed two 800 lb capacity shelves in the basement utility room. Low degree of difficulty and high degree of satisfaction that job is, folks.

-Vandy ain't going to be a problem.

-Super Bowl --> Valentine's --> March 1

Milestones.

-When Anth turned on Weezer's version of No Scrubs last night, I thought it was Kidzbop radio. :flushed:

-Was Gambino's underrated? I feel like it was a popular spot, at least with this crew.

-We got Door Dash on Saturday after the game and it seemed to arrive in a timely fashion. Ordered at 9:38pm and it arrived at 10:06pm.

Didn’t Prickett own a piece of Gambino’s as well? I always though those dudes were pushing something and Gambino’s was a front. At a minimum steroids.

Remember seeing Shagari Alleyne grinding with some 5 foot shorty along with Ravi Moss there once after Keeneland. What a weird era of Kentucky Basketball.
