Pretty weird in that we were clearly the better team last night- in a similar way as UNC and Louisville.

Kansas will still end up a Top 2 seed. Their wins against Tennessee, Michigan State and Marquette look better every day.

Going to be a nice little feather in our cap come Selection Sunday.

Great win! Sat basically right in front of the Kansas family section. They all were actually really nice and respectable folks. Reigned in the cheering a bit, but great environment.

Pretty funny to sit there and listen to each parent cheer on their kid like it’s a middle school or high school game, kind of forget about that aspect of it.

Anyone wanna take on ENG’s guido suit/turtleneck/gold chain combo this morning?

That was something else.

I am of the belief that the Big Blue Nation's refusal to even acknowledge Brad's constant cries for attention is the right approach.

Anyone ever seen Zan Payne on the bench in anything other than some UK gear, smiling and rooting on his team? He seems cool.

Wonder if he has any God awful tattoos across his whole upper torso

Had a blast yesterday. Cats.

Crew got live for Gameday vs the Jayhawks. Good showing from the faithful. Gyero got
In.

First tried to start at Ksbar. Nope. Packed at 1 pm. Congrats Matt. Must have been good brisket guy day.

Bw’s was packed too but we had some wings.
Hyatt bar and go!
Met some interesting folks yesterday. Tried to be a good ambassador for the program. Taught some Kansas fans about Bourbon and where to go in Lex.

Game with some decent energy. Cats got it done. Thanks Jaimanth, nice seats. And thank you too Joey Bonz.

That's the part of it that has me a little perturbed with ENG today.

In another thread, in response to Brad looked like a fake-baller spoiled little brat yesterday, a guy asserted that Brad had chores at home and was frequently seen mowing/trimming/weedeating around the house, and that he probably worked harder than I did.

Well La-Dee-Freakin'-Da. That's great, he earns his keep around the house. But he's never earned his keep on the team, and sure as hell didn't earn his scholarship. Despite redshirting this year, he's trying to draw attention to himself with his wack dress, which takes attention away from his teammates and what they are actually accomplishing on the court.

Being on the roster? Not going to take issue with that. ENG tattoo / player on scholarship / dressing like a pimp? Boy needs to understand he's a human victory cigar with special privileges that he only has because of who his daddy is, quit lying to himself and quit trying to take attention from the players on the court.

There lives a world in which you can find ENG ridiculous but at the same time recognize it matters not one bit...as long as we are awesome at basketball Cal’s collected the equity to let his son be a part of the program, although I do wish it wasn’t on scholarship.

Will Duke’s putrid outside shooting (30.2%) and lackluster FT shooting (68%) ultimately derail them in March?

That's one more scholarship with which Cal could "end generational poverty." You know, if that really and truly mattered.

I don't give a flying f*ck what he puts on, either, except to the extent his attention whoring on the bench takes attention away from the players who deserve attention and actually matter.

Been pretty unimpressed with top shelf Ky. Congrats on your houseboat breaking down during the show State Dock, lol.

Anyone that hates on ENG seriously needs to be reminded of one Saul Smith. An average at best guard that cost us a lot of stud guards because he was guaranteed to be playing.
I’ll gladly embrace ENG and HOFCJVC over....sorry I just can’t say it and don’t get me started on the Sutton’s!!

ENG is a goof that deserves a lot of the jokes...but that passive-aggressive **** on Twitter from the daughters annoys me a lot more.

Even after a huge win against Kansas...their first tweet is some ******** about how many wins it will take to support the team. STFU.

I get it if they are defending their dad because some moron is going after him...but it's 90% calling out the fans in some ******** manner. Even after wins.

Very Rex-esque.

Monday Randos:

* Good to see True Detective getting back to being awesome. When that show is good, it is as good as TV gets. And when it is bad, shew.

* I mean, the kid actually has "Earned Not Given" tattooed on his chest. That's legitimately amazing. I guess he's saving "Daddy's Boy" for a tramp stamp.

* I can't get over how well this team shoots free throws. After PJ Washington's Freethropalypse in the tourney last year, it is great to know that our two primary ballhandlers are clutch at the stripe.

I may or may not have screamed "THROW THE GD BALL TO HERRO!" 4 billion times in the last minute on Saturday.

And what's up with Nick Richards being a sneakily good free throw shooter?

* Angela White is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Monday Morning Shorts:

- The world is just a better place when the Wildcats are rolling.

- Who knows how much **** Cal’s girls are getting from those losers on Twitter.

- Reid Travis, for all his flaws, is the reason we’re Top 5 in offensive rebounding. In the same way Hagans’ pressure is debilitating and constant, his rebounding and going hard at the glass every possession puts so much pressure on the opponent. Plus, he doesn’t give an inch on post D.

- 3 of the next 4 on the road. Can’t let mediocre Vandy or Florida pick us off.

- Went to a Pompilios Elijah Craig tasting Thursday night. Picked up a bottle of their pick afterwards- a 9 year. Absolutely delicious for $30.

- San Francisco tomorrow for a conference. Can’t wait- nice reprieve from the cold, get to see my brothers-in-law and of course take in one of my favorite cities.
