I ordered a Filet at Jack Fry's once and they brought me a pork chop. Argued about it with the waiter/manager for 15 minutes until they replaced it...with a pork chop, not a filet. They kept insisting it was a filet. My dad had the pork chop, and our dishes looked and tasted the exact same. Never will forget that. Still love the place, but that was bad. Pork chop did taste great though.

So the restaurant you were at was trying to convince you that you were eating a filet even though it was a pork chop? :joy:

:joy: From what? Being at the table, or do you just interrupt and start ordering, properly, for said patron?

My wife wont eat pork chops because they have a bone in it. Same with any steak that is served on the bone. Its always been one of the strangest food related issues to me.

The first big fight we ever got into was early on when we were dating, and as a 20-something, nearly broke grad student, I cooked a decent spread with a delectable pork chop as the main. She refused to eat it and said she didnt have much appetite any longer. So I told her if we werent having dinner- there was no reason for her to be at my house. A real overreaction. She thought I was kidding, so I went and opened the front door, then sat down to eat BOTH of our meals. Showed her up.

My new favorite work related faux pas is Outlook calendar guy that sets a reoccurring meeting bi-weekly until 2075 but starting on the wrong week.

Nothing better to do than delete 75 emails in a row of notifications of cancelled events, apologies and still screwing it up before giving up and just telling you they'll give you a call in a couple weeks.

- Was at that Bama/UGA game and didn't know about Patrick's truly ridiculous comment until the next day.

-- drxman1, etal: being sent to Detroit for work. Any rec's on where to live, what to do on the weekends would be appreciated. I'll be working in Livonia and yes, I already ordered my bullet proof vest off Amazon lol.

--- Barry's Cheese Steaks on Preston... yay or nay?

---- re: defense, seems like we play some version of the Crispin Brothers every game this year. Sick of it.

Oh guess you're ready then to apologize for your scathing post about my pork chop order at Jack Fry's circa 2008.

It was around the time you were working at RBT and sharing my daily checking account activity with everyone on a UK messageboard.

I mean, you were getting a little carried away at Porcini's bar, I thought.

She went in another room and sat with the dog. It was never discussed again until she brought it up in pre-marriage counseling with our pastor, like 4 years later.

Not sure why. Livonia is basically 4 public school CovCaths. Enjoy the perfectly divided square mile blocks of suburbian bliss

Lunch = Parasol’s (firecracker shrimp po boy)

Dinner = Dori’s Metropolitan

Acme is terrible. I’d rather do Dave & Busters (there’s a new one on Poydras that just opened)

Krazykats having one good post a couple weeks ago may be the worst thing ever for gyero.

If somehow all the ****** posters, including you, decide to stop posting here I’d be more than happy to stop.

:100points:

Edit: Careful on the gambol tonight, we are 3/4 I believe and all the money is coming in on us.

This CovCath kid should “take it and turn it” with the name recognition he never asked for and begin to focus his path on a run for governor (and beyond) when he’s of age. He’s already a shoe-in for anything on a local level, no doubt.

Yep. Turn heel and go full fledged righty. Attend Sewanee, invest in a bunch of colorful trousers and just make a living dating dumb, entitled Republican broads the rest of your life.

I once hooked up late night because of pork chops. Goodfellas was closed, and she was hongry. Fired up the egg at 4am, and profited. TS

Granted I left Motown in 2008, but if working in Livonia I’d look at Novi and Farmington Hills. Bit more of a drive, but as a single man you’d probably like Berkeley, Royal Oak, and Birmingham. I lived in Royal Oak, nice bar scene. I’ve still got tons of friends there so can find out what’s more current.

Mr kabob is on Coolidge and 12 mile, just saying. Write that down. #schwarma and garlic sauce
