Arizona is great. Watched game while golfing. I agree with pretty much all takes. That flagrant was a top 5 worst call in CBB History.

Also, at some point we're gonna need EJ Montgomery and I hope he is ready for it. I don't remember feeling so down about a freshman but he's borderline unplayable right now.

-Wasn't a game for Montgomery. He just needs to watch what Nick is doing and start there. Board, blocks, put backs. He'll light bulb at some point.

-Figured if Brown/Harper got off we lose by 15+. Damn, wasn't even bad D on most of the shots That back court is great.

-Travis was playing much smaller dudes but seemed like he was intent on dunking everything. Do that more big guy.

-The F1 foul is worse than Quickley's player control foul in the UL game because they went to the damn monitor. CBB refs are out of control. The 1st Qtr double flagrant fouls were just as bad.

The prefect play to describe EJs season thus far is the play against Georgia when Ashton drove in and kicked out to a wide open EJ who had a wide open lane to a dunk. Although he ended up dunking it as soon as he caught the ball he took his little step back like all he could think to do was shoot a 17ft jumper instead of taking the ball to the rack for an uncontested dunk

Virginia can ead.

My dad, stepdad, and youngest brothers went to Cov Cath. Not a good look for the alumni for sure. People are stupid.
Color me surprised that sending your kids to an all boys private school turns a large percentage into d-bags.

Montgomery needs to be banned from shooting anything outside 8 feet until he proves he can rebound and make some post baskets. He’s approximately 1 for 689 from that corner spot. Lurking out there is not helping him or us.

The far left is perfectly willing to ruin a teenager’s life over a condensed minute long video where no violence occurs, no slurs are exchanged and we don’t know how it began.

Let’s get the kid expelled in the middle of his senior year, and also call his college so they revoke his acceptance.

All these self-righteous MFers behind their phones.

And I’ve felt this way for years- it’s total horseshit that these Catholic schools let these kids do their bidding on abortion. For those of you who didn’t go to parochial schools, it’s shoved down your throat from grade school on. What the hell does a high school kid know about the nuanced issue of abortion? Why are they marching?

Big lesson here- these F’ing MAGA hats are basically seen as a big middle finger to a lot of people, so unless you want to taunt folks, maybe throw the damn thing in the trash.

Or maybe don't get offended over a damn hat. I agree with everything else 100%.

Also, seems like once again we jump to conclusions. Several videos now showing the old dude approaching the kids chanting "it's not your land, go back to Europe". Seems like they were both being jackasses.

Tired of our politics basically being turned into fanaticisms. This isn't sports.

Big loser is high school sports culture. These teenage bozos have so much fun being essentially a group of mass all-male cheerleaders, that they started doing their cheers together in DC for fun (Let’s show DC how the Colonel Crazies do it, gang!) Then, the native dude jumped on the opportunity to use them as props for his cause as well.

Wtf, John Yarmuth? Ban teenagers from wearing MAGA hats? Will the secret police start carding people to make sure they are of age to wear one? What an *******.

Trump has broken BlueKel. Don't know what happened to him. Used to have smart takes but now it's "Almost all Trump fans are bigots." Sounds pretty bigoted to me. Intellectually lazy, at best.

I didn't like seeing the "Hope and Change" gear when Obama was President, and I'm sure many others did as well. I didn't lose my mind over it. I didn't believe it should be banned....America and all.

I'll say this for Herro, he's not the dead eye so far I thought he'd be, but that slump never phased him. Kid just keeps balling. In fact I think his bravado pushes Johnson with that best friends rivalry.

He has 2 or 3 fast break/drives a game where he looks like he's out of control and about to fall down only to somehow lay it in. That and 1 play was unreal. Found himself 1 on 3 and the biggest guy on their team already under the basket. Head down and scoop shot for the 3pts.

We may not win but the 3 frosh are some dawgs and we're finally seeing what Cal saw early.

Loved Herro getting the savvy veteran (i.e. white boy) treatment from the officials when he shuffled his feet a few times. "He just flat out knows how to play the game!"

If they don't already, opposing fan bases will loathe him by the end of the year.

I think we can all agree that the only truly unforgivable sin is flopping.

Except Wayne, of course.

I said some choice words about the kid at first, now I'm disgusted at myself, and I'm not kidding.
A bunch of teenagers were waiting for their bus. An elderly Indian fellow came across the street and wondered right into their group, until he got right in this akward 15 year olds face. The kid nothing but smile, didn't move, didn't talk, you could tell he was feeling a bit akward.
Please tell me what anybody here would have done different? Please tell me what he did wrong? Please tell me what he could have done different?
This world f@cking sucks.

My future 15 yo son would’ve kicked old man in the nuts, flossed over his suffering body, and spit Cope in his eye.

  • Much to my buddy PtI’s chagrin, I was way out in front of the Covington Catholic story; the networks should have squashed that - they’re the ones that should be held accountable.
  • It is odd that Herro isn’t more hated yet, but I’d argue if you’re an opponent, Washington is by far the easiest guy to hate on our team. And I know it shouldn’t have been a F1, but giving Auburn’s forward a cut above the eye just adds fuel to the fire. Even the way he went for the block was kind of obnoxious (but I loved it). He kind of guessed that the guy was just gonna go hard for the dunk and rared up for a running hammer block instead of trying to get in better position. [roll]
  • Hagans who has been dominant of late, didn’t seem to be able to do what he wanted as he had a shorter, quicker guard checking him who was dating him to shoot from outside. He’s gotta be able to keep these guys honest with open threes.

Hagans did exactly what we needed, played within himself while being checked by a quick experienced guard and played team ball. Loved his game. Many a pg would've fallen into Hero Ball down the stretch. Kid is unreal.
