Had a buddy bowl a 299 tonight. Man, that’s tough. Left the ten pin on the last frame of an almost perfect game.

Every other lane stopped for the last 2 frames to watch. Pretty cool. I wasn’t there just FYI.

KSR comment function doesn't seem to be working, so I will vent here (ignore as you will).

Whatever 20 year old dipshit is manning the always awful, IQ-depleting, "KSR Top 10 Tweets of the Day" post tonight cited Van Hiles, who tweeted watching UK Hoops vs LSU in his hometown. Tonight's Designated KSR Dipshit only noted that "Blue Got In", apparently not realizing that Van Hiles played football for UK from 1994-1996.

Nice work, KSR Dipshit. I'll bet Savannah Patton or Courtney McStuffins would have known better.

Or perhaps not.

Man **** that guy, if you don't know every UK football player from 10 years before you were born then you have no business being a UK fan or posting on the internet. Blood is boiling right now.

I was more offended by this nugget from KSR:

"Maci Morris had a whopping 20 points and proved to be an unstoppable force for the Tigers."

I don't follow UK Hoops very closely, but doesn't Maci Morris play for UK??

Eh, if you're going to hold yourself out as being knowledgeable about UK's 2 main sports, you might want to make sure you know the varsity lettermen and high profile players during the years your target audience has been following UK.

Van Hiles played in the NFL. Anyone from KSR realize that? Anyone? If a Cat from the "KSR Era" played in the NFL, you would get weekly updates - and you pretty much do.

My biggest issue is that practically nobody from KSR knows [DICK] anything about UK BB or UK FB that occurred before their 20s. And that includes Matt Jones. That may not need to be their focus, and it doesn't sell clicks, but it sure as damn hell detracts from their credibility as the "Authority on UK Sports".

If KSR has no particular UK knowledge or expertise, their site has no purpose. (Yes, they do a good job of aggregating current information but their historic knowledge is somewhere between non-existent and laughable). They seem to hope Ryan Lemond's ridiculous antics, fat belly and bald head will distract from lack of substance. (And for some, it does).

Covering UK sports to be ridiculous? Yes, have fun with that.
Trying to act as an authority on anything further back than UKBB 2010? Nope. Just stop.

Friday Shorts:

- KSR’s business model- an intelligent one at that- is to extend a sense of diehardedness to the masses, every Tom, Dick and sorority girl in BBN. As a Big Blue snob, this is annoying but can’t blame Matt. Can’t market to only people who wrote 10-page research papers on Adolph Rupp as a 15-year-old.

- I mean, you’re getting your sports reporting from the Katie Nolans of the world now as opposed to the Bob Ryans. I suppose it’s more fair, but it’s certainly not better. At least, we’ve cultivated out own little world here where we can talk sports.

- You add McDaniels to Whitney and Maxey and that’s a special, fun class.

- Very curious about Saturday. We came ready in big games against UNC and Louisville. All business. Hope to see that again.

- After, have a bday party at Rhinegeist- first time visiting since the wedding. That will be a cool feeling.

I feel like Matt Jones is going a little crazy. He’s going way overboard in his defense of the whole Eddie gran/UGA thing. Like, harassing some random dude to call in just so he can talk over him and lay out a court case defending his position that UGA offered Eddie Gran the OC job. Like, I didn’t really even care about the story before, but now he’s gone so nuts defending it I’m kinda thinking it WAS made up.

-I don't think it was made up and it was likely in the middle. UK coaches get a victory from them turning down UGA OC and UGA would be embarrassed by losing to UK. Same thing as a recruit going elsewhere and "was never offered." UGa didn't call Gran to offer him a TE position though.

-Moved to the Garmin Vivosport for a watch/wearable. I like this much better, about the size and weight of a fitbit but I get notifications, it does a good job tracking HR, and has GPS for running/cycling. Big fan so far. I just hate that left hand gets watch and ring, I feel lopsided wearing both at the same time. At least this thing is barely noticeable. Only complaint is garmin using a specific charger rather than universal style.

-Next project is to make the handle for a chef's knife. Just have to track down the blade I want. Picked up a couple pieces of cocobolo and olive for potential handles.

-1 dog, 3 cats, 3.5 year old, and me. We're full on animals and animal hair. Any other living beings move into our house and I'll be at the Hyatt until that space opens back up. Last two animals were bamboozled in the door. Dog dad, go pick the little gal up if you want.

Century being a KSR commenter is quite the upset.
[laughing] Thanks, that is a compliment. In fact, I have never commented in KSR but felt compelled to try last night.

Since I have no profile there (plus I'd had a few, obviously), I'm guessing that's why I couldn't get it to work.
