In this week's version of "it's a small world after all", I found out today that a work acquantiance that helped me out with some painting/fascia repair on my home happens to be the honk who took Billy Gillespie and the 07 Cats for a ride when we lost to Gardner Webb. Homeboy dropped a cool 22 points on the ole cats that day.

On the one hand, that loss probably accelerated the downward spiral of Billy but, on the other hand, homeboy ain't allowed in my home anymore.

So both HULU and Netflix are putting out documentaries on Fyre Festival from 2017.

Hulu's released today. I'm watching it now. Netflix's releases Friday.

-If you found a way to hate on the WH/Clemson/Trump food order, get over yourself, because it's phenomenal.

-So the greatest team ever assembled eeked out a win at FSU and lost at home in the worst loss ever at CI vs the spread? I'm not slighting their talent but just noting it's f*cking tough to get 3 guys like that to play in sync for a full year. Up against a good zone and they settle for bombing away. Man, we've seen that too many times. Be intersting to see how they respond, especially without their general, and who is going to run the show for the next 6 weeks? Hopefully they let Barrett initiate the offense.

-Invited a bunch of people but Friday the 24-25th my friend/trainer is hosting his annual Sweat4Surgeries fundraiser. 24 one hour fitness sessions, he has all kinds of work outs planned and described for each hour just click registration. It's actually a really good time. Booker and Geese are doing it again and Bonz is joining us with his beach muscles. Believe we're doing the 5p Friday session and I'll go back on Saturday morning at some point. Same weekend as the KU game. Bonz offered to triple his donation if @B.B.d.K. joined us.

-Gase doesn't make it a year up there does he?

- @ Rowland acting like UK fans are wrong/strange/obsessed with getting so much enjoyment out of Duke losing. No clue why Duke fans don't get the same enjoyment out of UK losing or reciprocating the rivalry. K, bud. Obviously college basketball is not his thing.

Had an awkward online exchange a few months back. Friend posted an article about The Tilted Kilt opening in Lexington....

me = “terrible idea. will close in 6 months.”
him = “thanks. I’m an investor.”
me = “:grimace:. just kidding. Looks great. Good luck!!”

PS I stand by my initial thought.

And further — if there is one secret of KSB’s success, I think it’s that they only occupy a small portion of the monstrosity formerly known as LCB/Varsity Poon/SOB/etc. That area simply cannot support a 48,000 square foot bar/restaurant.

From what I've read Tilted Kilt/KSBar is going to have a Malones/Drakes type relationship, same ownership, same kitchen, some of the same food, etc. Difference is Malones and Drakes are two completely different types of restaurants. TK is basically KSB with school girls outfits instead Ryan Lemond.

And as PTI mentioned that place is HUGE for a restaurant and it looks like they've made it bigger around the patio area.

- Have never been to a Tilted Kilt.

- This is actually the third straight Duke “greatest team of all-time.” Unfortunately, I think it’s the best of the bunch. Still might not be enough the way they shoot.

- Surprised they haven’t gotten the full UK treatment- slow tempo, ugly zones and hackfests every game. They sure would if they played in the SEC.

- Think Trump’s spread is hilarious. Frankly, I miss and look back fondly on the days I could eat McD and Mad Mushroom 5 days a week and still look cut as hell.

- Another White Death this weekend???? ... developing

Appreciate the offer Anth, but I'm gonna stick w/ Europe. Maybe next year.

-It's cliché, but Tre Jones really does make that team go, starting w/ his defense. If the alternative is RJ Barrett increasing his already-ridiculous usage, launching 30 shots (half of them 3s) then they're gonna take some lumps.

I mean, the dude was 4-17 From 3 last night, [laughing] (which is only slightly below his average %) I know the kid is a stud (I mean he was 1 dime from a triple double) but at what point does Coach K step in and tell him to stop the Antoine Walker routine from deep?

My only experience with Tilted Kilt was the one off Dutchman's here in Louisville a few years back. Big group of golf buddies went there after an outing, most of them liquored up pretty good. 8 mos. pregnant tatted up waitress rolls up to our table to take our order. The natives were not happy. The scene was not good. A few weeks later, it closed.

The end.

Inviting a championship team to the White House, then picking up a massive fast food order with your own cash is equal parts idiotic, hilarious, ignorant, amusing, and pathetic. It's just...…...I don't even know, dude. That guy is one of a kind. :joy:

They played without Reddish, only had Jones for 5 minutes, White was 0-10 from 3pt, Barrett was 4-17 and Syracuse still had to go to OT to beat them.

I mean, I know Duke is very good, but I had higher expectations for the Orange this year. I hope they miss the tourney. I hate Boeheim. It almost took away some of my joy from Duke losing (Suck it Rowland). Almost.

-Went through downtown Lexington and campus yesterday for the first time in well over a year, lots of change but looks good. Can’t believe they turned Alumni Hall into a clothing store or whatever it is. Used to love hooping in there, one of the hottest gyms ever.

Zim’s Cafe last night with the folks for a casual supper. Good stuff but weird to see college age youngsters tending bar. Kid was nice but looked like he’d never shaved and was about 16. Not commom in my neck of the woods.

Didn’t go see any of my old pals, 4 nights in town isn’t much and being around the family is top priority right now. I will see a couple buds in Louisville tonight/tomorrow. Wish I had time to check out KSBar just to see it.

-Can’t stress enough how nice it is to be able to go to a Sky Lounge when having a layover while traveling. Sat down at the bar in the barely crowded Lounge. Breakfast with eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, a coffee, plus 3 beers and free WiFi=$0. Here’s a tenner darlin, thanks.

Also, as ****** and awful as Key West is, the airport is amazing. Scoot over there with a backpack and a duffel bag, leave scooter at free scooter parking area, walk into the airport after waiting for all of 6 people in front to go through security, walk downstairs, toss bags in chair, go to outdoor smoking area, hit the pen a few times, bang bang bang, ready for the flight. Love that airport.

He was so proud that he paid for it with his own money. Maybe Vlad gave him an advance on his allowance.

At least Clemson went to the White House. I think it's ridiculous that teams refuse the invitation over politics. I mean, it's the White House and the President! Regardless of your political views, that's a pretty effing big honor.

It’s actually not an honor for many to meet this President- the opposite, really.

-my tailor is in town. Gonna have him make me a nice tattersall, gun club check and a prince of wales check in blue. Who knows...may get crazy and grab a nice bengal stripe.

-went to a rock show saturday night. Chico Fellini at the burl. They did a bowie tribute. Singer and lead guitar player are dudes that I played with in last serious band. Saw many old friends...band was great and my man was playing my diamond sparkle les paul standard, glad she's getting put to work. Prior to, watched all but the last 2 minutes of the game at Cole's...this team is much less frustrating with the sound off and paying 1/2 attention. Recommend.

-going to the Italian Table in a few weeks...what should I expect?

-socks.

Doing the same with politics and the news works really well with this philosophy.

Sure do @PTI (pti) its the easiest, most efficient way to get around an island without worrying about impossible parking, all while getting 100mpg. How stupid of me. I do have an SUV as well and don’t forget my bicycle!

I mean, a good time for you is running endless miles, so I’m sure driving around looking for a parking spot that doesn’t exist in your sedan for 45 minutes while on vacation probably really pumps your nads too. Good call, fella!

LOL the self-awareness seems lacking, IMO.

Playing the contrarian heel ad nauseam takes its toll.
I guess when you're holed up in the house ferociously masturbating 15x per day to fill the time during a stretch of unemployment (or "consulting" [eyeroll]), it's easy to lose a grip on reality....
