*Couldn't watch the game live so I watched this morning. Really wish I had read GYERO first. What an awful display. It's really no wonder why the best of the best are not automatically coming to UK.

*Vacation planning with friends later today. Wife is on a cruise kick that I have zero excitement for. If that's what everyone else wants I'll obviously go, but would much rather just go back to the Atlantis.

If a cruise wins, any suggestions?

Playing 2 bigs can clog the lane but Hagans at the top of the key against the zone really clogs the lane. Vandy was sitting back near the free throw line when Hagans was at the top. Smart move in the 2nd half to rotate him over on the left wing... gives him a better angle to drive and gives the opposite shooter a better look when the defense actually has to come out and defend the point.

Someone needs to teach EJ how to get in the middle of that zone and/or work the baseline to bust the zone. He should be perfect for that and he didn't know how to do it last night.

I like my hard hat, took it with me. They are real.

Fun day hopping around with the crew, other than watching Duke pull one out their *** and the beginning of our game. Thanks Anth.

Hit Napa Prime for dinner. Not bad, really good burgers actually. Bourbon bacon jam for this guy.

Pulling for the Pats and Saints today. Saints all the way.

How can anyone pull for the Patriots if you aren't a fan of them? Seems impossible.
Why not? I’m a fan of the pretentious and love the fact everyone hates them.

Of course I’m old enough to remember the Patriots being hot garbage historically and think it’s great watching everyone pretend to hate.

The CBS football little cricket chip noise on camera/replay transitions had me thinking my baseboard pipes were rattling.

Annoying AF.

-Nothing like having money on a game when the coach absolutely refuses to execute the most basic zone busting scheme ever. OTOH, the plays we did run against the zone and how we scored was impressive considering.

Had to sweat out the halftime line just to break even.

-Woodford double double oaked(not to be confused with double oaked) is really good.

- The pats are the official underdog of the teams left in this thing. That’s hard to believe from a Brady/Belichik duo.

I am in no way knocking Brady, but I’ve come to believe that Belichick is so far above the competition that it wouldn’t be that much different if you plugged in any of the other top-tier QBs on that team.

Could totally see Rodgers going to the Pats when Brady hangs it up. Rodgers/Belichek would be scary.

I don’t disagree, but Belichik was average before Brady, and the years Brady has gotten hurt the pats have been average.

- Just got the Saints +3.5 live. I’ll take it but this has been fugly so far.

Went 3-1 with the vaunted Jimmy Garoppolo/Jacoby Brissett combo when Brady was suspended, too. Perhaps that’s the “average” performance you were referring to?

Wes Welker and Gostkowski were the only all pro’s I see listed, but Cassel could have been a replacement.

FYI that 11-5 team wasn’t eligible for the playoffs and finished 2nd in the division, so I’d still say average.

Ok fine 3-1 and went on to a Super Bowl with Brady taking over week 4.

Week 1 vs the Cardinals, Weeks 2 vs the Dolphins, Weeks 3 vs the Texans(with Brock Osweiler lol), and week 4 vs the Bills.

My guess they were favorites in every game still without Brady though.

I stand by the average statement. They didn’t even make the playoffs. It’s the Patriots, and that is comparable to us going 20-10 and missing the tourney.

You’d be happy though I guess!

While "MY Bears", "MY Patriots", "MY Colts", etc is in fact turrible, it doesn't even compare to Louisville fans calling all of their coaches and players by their first names and/or stupid nicknames.

They’re both equally naseauting.

The UL first name basis is bizarre. It started with Pitino when everyone in town referred to him as RICK like they knew him. TOM definitely was first name worthy then of course BOBBY.

It got really bad when they won the fake title in 2013 and they went first name basis with their players. GORGUI, PEYTON & the one & only LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE. [sick]

It’s because the NFL puts out such a likeable product that it’s no stretch for generalist fans to like all kinds of teams. Throwing the “MY” qualifier signals a higher level of rooting interest.
