Alabama dude in the toboggan saying "Matt F'ing Jones?" after the botched fake punt was nice. Showed almost simultaneously as Herbie and Fowler were questioning it.

My children - the youngest one in particular - are mercenary front runners whose interest in UK on a moment-to-moment basis is directly proportional to how much food and loot they stand to gain. I've either raised them well or terribly, I can't decide.

That’s natural for young’uns. They start to figure out sports loyalty around late junior high. Hang in there.

Really having trouble brainwashing my 5 year old son into becoming a UK fan at the moment. Still have time, I don't think it really caught on for me until about 10 years oldish. If it's not Mindcraft, a Leggo PS4 game or other kids playing video games on youtube he could or couldn't really care or careless.

My 12 year old daughter is exactly what UCL explained, her only true interest in UK athletics is that I'm in a good mood and may authorize a online clothing purchase or something after a big W without paying attention to the cost.

My 5 year old daughter...that's a bridge too far.

My 11 year old lives and dies with every play in both football and basketball. Has since he was about 6. The night we lost in the FF in 2015 (he was 7) he looked over at me, pulled a blanket over his head and said, "I don't even want to wake up in the morning".

Now my 6 year old is the complete opposite. He hates having to watch a game with us (but refuses to go to any other room to watch what he wants because he still wants to be around big brother and daddy). He also thrives on being a contrarian, which leaves me with a sinking feeling he may become a UL fan just to spite us. I send subtle messages in hopes he doesn't pick up on which way I am pushing him. I'm treading very carefully and counting on the Social Learning Theory to prevail in the end.

The seeds were planted for my UK fandom by pops when he took me in '85 to see them beat NC State. But I hardly recall anything until after probation.

Foggy memories:

1986: Was playing nerf hoops at my friend's in Portsmouth, Ohio. His step-dad going nuts and I went over and watched the last moments of the LSU game. First game I ever remember watching. Bawled and they had to take me home. My first emotional Cat moment.

1987: Sitting in a Portsmouth, Ohio Mr. Gatti's and seeing them lose to Ohio State.

1988: Listening to them lose to Seton Hall while in a Portsmouth, Ohio Ramada Inn hot tub.

1989-1991: Listening to them lose on the radio to Southwest Louisiana. Yep, on my way back from karate class in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Wasn't until mid-1992 season where it all clicked.

F Porstmouth, Ohio, man! What a sh*t town that is/was.

In hometown news:

The Russell Co. Lil’ Ballers are the Winter Classic champions!
Team members: Tahlon, Raylan, Evan, Gavin, Riggs, Keaton, Archer

Missing a Jaydon, Haydon, Kaydon, or Braydon, but other wise pretty solid.

I had never heard of Portsmouth, OH until last month. This Friday, I’m going there for a site visit and city council meeting. I **** you not.

I assume that a local Mexican junt is the best lunch option. If you have a position of knowledge, please speak up if this is not the case.

Portsmouth Brewery or the Scioto Ribber. Pilsner they make at the brewery actually ain’t bad.

At some point I hope our HOFC attributes everyones superbowl playing out of their minds against us to our own ****** defense/effort.

Good response. Still hate the slow starts.

Montgomery does not look comfortable on the perimeter. Not Gabriel bad but still scary.

Quickly needs to knock down Js something Hagans can't do.

Montgomery brings an interesting game. Has some craft and creativity off the bounce that you don’t see very often from 6’10” kids.
