Unless you’re a complete sap like Roy, rarely do guys leave what they built to return home.

Clemson returns 16 starters. Alabama returns 17 starters.

There is a 99% chance next year’s title game will be these same two teams. Again.

And I’ll say this. The buzz locally among Bama fans every year on the Monday of a title game really makes me want to get back to our own title game on the first Monday in April. Everybody’s wearing school colors (and houndstooth, lol), everybody’s talking about the game that night, nobody’s getting work done, people leaving work early, etc. So jealous.

Make it happen, John.

-Alma Mater, especially Bama, would be hard to turn down but I feel like Dabo is too far down that road, hell he'll probably have a couple more before Saban hangs em up.

-Lawrence was amazing but Venables is the one that got that thing turned around. Tua couldn't read the defenses. Got a good chuckle out of Mac Jones getting destroyed on that stupid fake FG.

-Over the break, MCF got me watching a few of the Avengers movies. Guess I'll slowly chip away at that. Any that I can skip? Working in chronological order right now. Gives me something new to watch while on the bike.

-Makeup of our next team is going to be interesting.
Gone(IMO): Hagans, Washington, Travis, Johnson
Back: Quickley, Baker, Richards
50/50: Herro, Montgomery
Incoming: Maxey, Whitney
Still on the board: McDaniels, Dante(if he jumps to 19), Hurt, Brooks, Edwards, Stewart in order of likelihood we land them.

Just wonder who the new names will be that pop up late in the process because Cal is going to want 2 more inside players and we could use another wing.

-Anyway, lets get back to showing the progress we saw the previous 3 weeks and destroy a ****** AM tonight. Thankful for a 7p tip.

-Head down, refocus the diet, keep working out, work my *** off in the office and Spring will start showing signs in 6 to 7 weeks. :boxing:

Iron Man 3 is skippable. I did the same thing last year. Watched them in chronological order before Infinity War.

That fake FG looked like something from a high school game. I can't imagine that it had ever been practiced against a live defense. Your 160lb kicker as a lead blocker against an all-NFL defensive front? And the special teams coach trying to justify on the sideline was even more ridiculous.

I assume both teams are right in the mix again next year, the major difference is that other SEC teams are on the up and up, while the ACC seems to be going the other way. Splitting the last four games with 2 all-timers and 2 pretty meh outings- but neither program is going anywhere.

In other football viewing news, as awful as the last season of Last Chance U was on netflix, this next season should be appointment viewing. That psycho coach and his team at Independence CC went 2-8, lulz.

I believe most rational fans seem to think Swinney stays put in Clemson, barring something drastic changing there. I think they are hoping Jeremy Pruitt gets it rolling enough to get some attention. Fuente's name has come up repeatedly. Think Smart has a good thing going at UGA. The hardest thing for people to justify is that a really good coach isnt going to have the same kind of run theyve been on.

And Clemson was lined up like they were ready for some kind of fake. Just dumb. Nick Saban has lost his fastball, gang. Fire him now before it gets worse imo

That’s literally what this is going to turn into in a couple months or if he doesn’t win a championship next year because that’s frankly what sports has turned into in 2019.

My son that will be born in February will be in the class of 2037. When he’s older he’ll be talking about how great things used to be back in the 30’s and 40’s and how these kids born in the 80’s are morons - things will have officially come full circle. That’s my Stoner thought for the day.

Those lobbying for parity in the top echelon of college football should probably just find another sport.
Just wait until they present their very rational 32 team playoff made up of teams from 4 super conferences of 16 teams each divided into 4 "pods" of 4 teams. It will all make sense then

Taking the Lil Lass #1 to meet Benny on Sunday at Academy Sports. I have an autographed UK football by Stoops in the basement and I want Benny’s sig added to it. If/when Josh Allen starts his autograph tour I’d like to get his as well.

She speaks a ton for a 2 year old and would repeat Benny while watching games with Dad probably because the announcers would say his name over and over. I can’t wait to see her reaction.

That fake FG looked like something from a high school game.

Exactly! Not only that - it looked like Clemson knew it was coming given the way Alabama acted before the snap. Reminded me of a fake punt we ran in high school. We couldn’t have been less obvious. Before the snap the other team’s defense all started yelling out “they’re gonna fake it! They’re gonna fake it!” We just kind of looked around, acting like a bunch of 4-year olds who got busted taking a cookie from the cookie jar. I think our upback yelled “nuh uh!”. Then like a bunch of morons we ran the fake punt for a 7 yard loss and turnover on downs.

My children - the youngest one in particular - are mercenary front runners whose interest in UK on a moment-to-moment basis is directly proportional to how much food and loot they stand to gain. I've either raised them well or terribly, I can't decide.

On a serious note, I do wonder if their relatively mild interest in UK basketball has something to do with the constant turnover of players.

It definitely has an impact. A few years ago, my then ~9 year old was really into it and memorized the names and numbers of almost every player. The next year, they were all gone. Being the lazy millennial that she is, she wasn't about to go through all that work again. The only player she knew on last year's team was Wenyen ("he's so dark!") and the only player she knows on this year's team is Herro ("he's so cute!").

Thanks John!

My boys have more interest in UK football than basketball. Think it has to do with the fact that they’ve spent more time playing football themselves. Youngest has basketball fever and will play for hours in the driveway. Just no real desire to sit and watch UK games. Was hoping Tyler Herro would help with that some but until the guys start gliding into Rupp from a battle bus and eliminating other teams with legendary scars, they just don’t have the interest.

Facebook post that makes my skin crawl: when some hen posts “SCREAMING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SUCH AND SUCH HEN!” Ugh. Stop it. That phrase is nails on chalkboard to me.

8 days without fast food and only drinking black iced coffee and water. (Little wild turkey last night tho). Been doing some cardio every night. not down much weight but man I feel 30lbs lighter. Amazing. Realized I had lost my Nike fuelband in the move so I found a great deal on a brand new one on eBay. Then went to download the app and realized Nike fuelband has basically been obsolete for 5 years. So what is the wearable item these days? Really don’t feel like getting an apple watch. Looks a little tedious. Liked the simplicity of the fuelband.

-Garmin gets my loyalty for that stuff because they're cycling stuff is great. Gave the "wearable" a few days and it's just not for me. Sent it back. Fitbit get solid reviews as well.

-At 2 the puking is basically over unless they're sick and they're a hoot to be around. But Ursch definitely has this figured out. Way to keep it real, pal. You're the clear winner here.

-Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is unreal in IM 2. Mercy.

-Believe I already have a bet with BBdk that Hagans is gone after this season. I'll gladly take some more action on it.

-12:30 so just about 2 hours of peace before the daily onslaught of Bob's digital Hawaii bragging.

Lil Lass #1 actually has the speaking ability of a 3.5 year old per the lassy’s peers at work. She says Go Cats, Touchdown Benny, Football, and Basketball amongst other things.

I’m not saying she will be able to process anything when we get there on Sunday but I’m taking her nontheless bc I enjoy random activities with her. It also sure as heck beats sitting in the house all day and chasing her around non stop as she leaves a destructional path of plastic toys/stickers/markers throughout every room in the house. I’m OCD with things being put away and this stuff is starting to drive me crazy. I leave the house for 15 minutes and come back and it looks like a war zone.
