Dont think ive ever seen one go off the upright and then the crossbar. And on the replay you could almost hear the crowd believe it was good for a brief second- then they all went silent

I’m sure a former soccer player like CB could
Part those uprights from 33. (Pretty sure with a little practice a powerful ball striker like myself could as well.)

Checked in to Princeville...wow, this place is gorgeous. Lass wants to take surfing lessons, this should be good.

While I never really tried before, the Mai Tai is quickly becoming a favorite. Think I’ll head off the bourbon craze and get in early on the fine rums (keep this in gyero.)

Doc - what’s your take on the food scene over there? I haven’t been out there in eight years, but I always thought it wasn’t that special - which I actually liked - because you didn’t feel like you had to go anywhere when you were there. Spend your time and money on activities and then grab some grilled fish or bbq’d pork at dinner time and call it a day. Anything change?

Well we just got to Princeville today, drove through hanelei and are gonna check it out tonight, looks like food truck nirvana.

As for Po’poi- pukadog and da crack were tasty local joints. Ate at the Hyatt 3 nights out of laziness. Tide pools was the best there. Excellent local ribeye dry aged 30days.

Will keep you posted, think Hanelei could be dope. Just made reservations here for later in the week.

The view from the beach at the Resort formerly known as the St Regis is surreal. Misty green mountain tops across the bay. Tropical rain Forrest straight out of Tropic Thunder. No wonder Ben stiller lives here. Even better I paid with points:)

Played golf yesterday. Was not aware of USGA rules changes until one of my buddies advised the rest of us.

Expert golfballs may have a more educated take on this but - so now, there is no reason to pull the pin unless someone specifically wants it out? And most of the time, the only reason for that is if someone considers it a distraction?

Spent the whole day approaching the pin to pull it as usual but had to rethink it every time.

That's going to be a weird adjustment.

  • I can barely compete with my 10-year old daughter in Mario Kart 8; Iike UCF's wife I may just refuse to play anymore.
  • Really enjoyed the playoff games yesterday; I kind of go back and forth on preferring defensive struggles vs high-scoring games.
  • Loved Clemson when it was +6.5; sort of like them at +5.5. They say the sharps think it should be more like +4/+3.5.
  • Motivation to work is at an all-time low; on a flight right now and supposed to be getting back into the game; instead this. Two-week vacations are nice and all, but damn, my mind's not in it.

- Have watched less NFL this year than ever before but the Playoffs are always awesome.

- I’ll take Clemson tonight. Not excited at all about the game.

- If Herro can develop into a 40% guy by March, we’re dangerous. I really think we go as he does. Travis and Johnson will have bad games but they’re pretty consistent. Washington can be great but he’s unreliable. Hagans keeps getting better.

-Whew, don't think I've ever been this happy to be back at my desk plugging away. Couple months with no plans. :raised_hands:

-The Pope reception was awesome and the crew hit it hard. Band was A+. Probably a bit aggressive to provide that level of bourbon but fun nonetheless. Somehow managed to avoid a bad hangover after boozing from 1p-?.

-Wedding at 7p on NYE  but at least the killed it with a legit food truck taco bar. Probably the best wedding food I've had.

-Bailed on the reception after the important stuff to grab a few zzz before 6a flight to Orlando. Pulled up in Camping World Stadium at 12:30p, right in time. Really glad we decided to make it work. Props to the BBN for showing up.

*What a fun year and capped off with a hell of a win for these guys. Very proud of our program and AD for sticking it out. While some small criticisms are warranted, and it feels like we were close to something even bigger, that door swings both ways as we've seen the 2 previous seasons. Program seems to be in great shape with a coach that is locked down and wants to be here.

-Even that **** show in Tuscaloosa didn't dampen my UK mood. Will be a rare bird for our 2 most consistent players to disappear in crunch time.

-Disney's Animal Kingdom wasn't nearly as bad as I had built it up to be and on a really busy week even. They have that **** down to a science, moving people in and out, apps to follow ride lines, fast passes. We rented one of those houses in a neighborhood that's basically a resort. Had a big water park, clubhouse, couple bars/restaurants, 6 miles to the parks. Place was brand new, 8 bed rooms, 8 baths, way cheaper than 5 hotel rooms. Not going to be a frequent guest but certainly not opposed to another trip down once the boys get older. Probably helped we had 3 adults and 1 child. The families that were outnumbered look defeated at the end of the day.

Christ, is that place expensive though.

-Waiting in line for the safari and the dad in front is carry his toddler on his shoulders and just walks the poor little dude face first right into the doorway of a hut. Does the "oh ****" look around to see if anyone noticed. Really made my day.

I don't give too much of a **** about the pin rule, but I'm ecstatic about the new O.B. rule. It should eliminate most huge numbers.

Isn't the OB rule an optional Local rule? Meaning the course does not have to adopt? Won't most stroke play events use the previous stroke and distance rule?

Actually - and I'm no expert - but I read there were 34 rules and they cut them down to 24.

I assume their overriding objective is to speed up the game. Which is good.

It is a local rule, but I would think most courses would implement it to speed up play if nothing else. I honestly don't know about the stroke play events. My guess is most local tournaments will go with the local rule, but most higher level amateur events or city/statewide amateur tournaments will go with the traditional rule.

So is the rule now.

Tee off, ball goes out of bounds near the 150 marker.

Drop in the vicinity.

I am hitting my 3rd shot or 4th shot?

4th. And you’ll likely be 100 yds ahead of where you should be because golfers do not understand true point-of-entry. Enjoy.
