With Travis being useless and Alabama’s lack of ballhandlers, going small with Johnson at the 4 and ramping up the ball pressure would have been a worthwhile venture.

We're like +12 games there and have won with way worse teams. Bama lost to Northeastern. Awful loss. Missed about 20 bunnies. Got abused on the board. Cal got cute with the lineups and forgot we were down 5. Herro played awful. Solid travel on a wide open dunk by Travis. F*ck.
Alabama's going to win their Super Bowl and a College football Championship in the same week.
Would have been nice to steal that one but we didn’t deserve to win. Got some help from the refs down the stretch for a change.

- Why in the touch can Herro not consistently hit 3s? His stroke is absolutely pure. On one hand he has to keep shooting it if this team is to reach its potential but on the other hand --> damn, kid.
- PJ Washington deserves some Billy Gillispie treatment after that stupid *** dunk. Cal ought to make him take a greyhound bus back to Lexington or something. WHAT. A. DUMBASS.
And any excuse that he was hoping to get fouled for an And-1 is total and complete ********.
- Hagans was the lone person who hustled or acted like they gave a **** today. What a joke.
- Just ridiculous to drop that game after a week off, coming off two great wins. This wasn't some 9 pm snoozer in Starkville in February.

I’m pissed, but obviously less discouraged then most. True road vs a tournament team, won’t be the last one of the season for sure. Had a great look to win the game.
I liked the way we played overall, but you can’t miss that many shots and expect to win a game like that.
The easy dunk was the RIGHT play, dude. Give him **** for his mediocre efforts, but that was correct.
This is true, but Cal's insistence in trotting out two bigs in every line-up is hot f*cking garbage. We have 3-4 guards who can create for themselves and others off the bounce, but can't find space with two bigs floating around the lane. For a team that still hasn't proven to be a "good" shooting team, our line-ups make it even easier for teams to pack the lane and force contested mid-range jumpers....

Not sure how you question a PF taking a dunk down 3 with 8seconds on the clock? Is that what your doing?

Hagans is the right guy to get the ball to in the end, but I can’t help but wonder would it be better to fake that handoff and go to the rim, or allow KJ to get the inbounds and get to the rim. KJ is a better option to me only because of his ability to hit the midrange shot.

I don’t care how open PJ is, or what his shooting % is this year from deep, when a guy who is as automatic as he is in the paint is floating around the perimeter looking for the 3, it’s lazy, candy *** basketball. He’s much better, and we’re much better when he’s 12 feet or less from the basket.

This wasn't a vicious road environment. The students are still on break, fans are more excited for the football game, and Kentucky traveled well. They said in pre-game it looked like about a neutral crowd. These guys just came out of the Yum Center. I don't buy that the crowd had much of an impact. This is one of the mildest road environments they're ever gonna face.

I disagree. I don’t mind them shooting a few 3s within the flow of the offense.
I was there. The crowd was a non-factor. They didn’t believe Bama could win until midway through the second half.
We weren’t awful, but it was the least focused we’ve been in a month. And that was by far the best I’ve seen Alabama play all year.

This. PJ did hit a big one in the waning moments against UNC.
I was actually upset PJ passed up a wide open corner three late in the game and instead decided to pass. We ended up with a contested midrange shot from Hagans. Sometimes a wide open 3 from our bigs will be the best shot we can get in the possession.

Ball movement was great first half. It was not in the second half. Way too much playing catch around the perimeter.

Travis reverted back to early season form tonight. Aside from catching great passes and dunking them in the opening minutes, he was AWFUL.

Have we missed that many bunnies all season? Feel like we've been pretty good there. Herro missed 2. Johnson a couple short ones. Travis a couple and the last one was costly. We finish half of those and it's not close.

I’m torn on EJ. He needs minutes to get better, but he’s so lost out there it’s not even funny.
We’re gonna need him in spots, but forcing him minutes just to get them, it’s too late for that imo. Unless it’s out of necessity or guys ahead aren’t performing, let’s wait & Play him when he’s ready (which may be this season)

Agree - he needs minutes. That said, he's a black hole any time the ball comes his direction. 100% it's going up, regardless of whether it's a good shot or not.
All I know is it's certainly not at the same time as Richards.
We killed UNC and to a lesser extent UL on that high post catch by PJ and two man game with Reid running baseline...did that happen once today?
Cal is 3-3 at Alabama with Kentucky. Let's quit acting like it's an easy place to play.
