Connectivity is fantastic. I paired them the first time and have never had to do it again. Sound quality is very good for earbuds.

Underrated thing I like about them, if you pull one bud out when someone tries to talk to you, whatever you’re listening to automatically pauses. When you put it back in, it automatically starts playing again. Handy feature.

Well, it’s fairly safe to report that Kauai is maybe the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Kind of a trip getting here late, not seeing anything and waking up in paradise.

Enjoyed some Kona on the beach watching some surf before the couples massage in the garden...pretty cool that the nature sounds were real.

Puka dog did not disappoint. Crushed some coconut/pineapple shave ice. Now pounding margs by the lagoon. Sushi res for tonight. Helicopter tour in the AM.

I wear AirPods for 8-10 hours a day, I don’t think those Jabra’s could hang without hurting, per reviews.

AirPods do that. Cam program them do do all sorts of other things too. Christmas gift a few years ago..I don’t give AF about Apple, but they’re cool.

That said, there is no such thing as an ear bud that doesn’t hurt my ear after 90 minutes or so.

Aside from gym, over ear/noise cancelling FTW in every way. Bose QC for this guy.

I have nothing against AirPods, I just don’t think they’d work for exercising if you don’t have an additional little rubber tip on there. Plus, it’s pretty much a consensus that the sound quality isn’t very good compared to some others. I would’ve gone with the Bose, but they don’t have the auto pause, and they look like you have cockroaches dangling out of your ears.

*Completly agree with your over the ear take. Buds are great for golf, grocery shopping, exercising, mowing, etc... but if you want really good sound quality, over the ear all/air.

- Stated before, but Kauai is the most beautiful place I've ever been. And it's not close.

- Hit 220 on the scale for the first time since 2014. Hopped on a body scanner at the gym.Even worse than I thought. Ouch.

8 week hard reset coming before a trip group trip to Belize. Have a little friendly BF% competition with a few guys; **** talking has commenced.

- Gonna try to not have any weekday beverages, but my recent Weller and Eagle Rare pickups are making that difficult.

- Tahoe in February, love me some skiing and gambol mixed together. Arrive on Wed; ski Thurs and Friday; spa Saturday; light gambol each evening.

- Parents got to go down to the game with my brother and niece and nephew, a 4 year old who is obsessed with all things Cats. Get to Orlando and find out they're staying at the team hotel. He was in heaven. They spent the day at the pool with Josh Allen and a few others one day, and Allen hung out with my family for a bit and was playing with my nephew. Mom said he was as genuinely nice as could be; nephew was and still is on cloud nine. She said every play during the game he kept asking if that was Josh Allen, ha. Really happy for a guy like that to get the chance to cash in.

- My vintage, oversized, Apex penis tongue Wildcat jacket is now 2-0 with victories over Louisville basketball and Penn St football. #blessed

- Lot of chirping from our young football Cats on twitter. I like the swag. They've earned it.

- Bird Box. Solid thriller. Not the greatest ever, but entertaining enough.

- Vaping? Really? Get it together.

- Clark. Sorry. Thoughts and prayers.

- Picked up the Nike Killshot 2s from JCrew. Love em.

- AG and Paige jeans only now for dad. I'm a Nordstrom snob now.

- Gave my parents back an Apple watch they tried to give me for Christmas last year. Not my thing.

- In fact, there were some preliminary studies (too lazy to look up) that folks who wore a fitbit or other activity tracking device actually gained more weight than those who didn't.

Lot of the, "Oh look, I had 10,000 steps today! Guess I don't need to hit the gym, and I earned that McRib today!" Sorry, toots, that's just your normal daily walking and you're still a fatass.

- SW CP on lock. Hopefully those Hawaii routes pan out this year!

/catching up

This past summer I felt myself starting to drift back into smoking, after having quit for almost 10 years. The men's league **** shows kind of allowed me to fall into it. Well, in response I bought a Juul so I wouldn't start smoking again. That worked, but GD was it a mistake. I'm giving that up now, and while it's not the exact same as quitting smoking, it is pretty GD close and sucks giant balls.

There is no greater nicotine delivery device on Earth than the Juul.
THC only after my drug test.

WhatyoutalkinboutWillis?

I workout with them every day, running, pull-ups, push-ups, hanging from cross beams, and they stay put. Never had an issue with them when working out. Maybe your ears are touched up?

And like you (I think), I listen to hard rock and the sound is fantastic. Do I expect Bose over-the-ear bass? No. But for the convenience and versatility of leaving my phone at home, streaming music / podcasts off my watch, they’re the tits.

And yes, I’m an Apple honk. However if I couldn’t blast ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ and get my blood boiling at 5 am, I’d have ditched them a long time ago.

Sound quality on phone calls (dying medium) is top notch as well.

Maybe my ears are touched. Wouldn’t surprise me. I always HATED the earbuds that came with the iPhone, and my understanding is the tips that go in your ears are the exact same on the AirPods.

“EarPods” (with wires) hurt more because the wire pulls them down and you tend to shove them in your ear farther in order to keep them from being slightly weighed/yanked down by the wires.

“AirPods” don’t need to be “shoved in” your ear since there is no wire. They just kind of sit on your ear and that’s what makes them more comfortable even though they are essentially the same size and shape. This guy gets it.

I swipe at my ears a lot to take them out and find they aren’t even in. That’s how little I feel them and how much I’ve advanced as a cyborg now, since you were all wondering.

It’s the easiest/cheapest way to wear headphones to sleep and I take it off at some point during the night. I was wearing my AirPods to sleep, but I got too nervous about dropping them between the mattress and the headboard.

Bose noise-masking sleep pods look pretty dope though, add one of those Philips brain-wave caps, and a nice deep sleep / lucid dream hypnosis app and it’s straight on till morning, IMO.

(Also, I usually wake up around 8:15, so the sleep mask isn’t a bad a deal if I manage to keep it on all night. TBH)

Apple stock is on sale right now and might not ever be at these levels again. But, the longer it stays at these levels the better it will be for long term holders.

Wife's FA said Boeing looks to be a better buy because of the massive backlog of contracts they have. Then again, he dropped 12k on them at $400 and now it's low 300's.

Reading the book “the simple path to wealth” makes the whole buying stocks trying to make a quick buck thing seem really stupid, but who knows. It also made me immediately fire my FA. It also makes the stock investing thread on here seem even more ridiculous. I guess the lure of the next amazon or bitcoin is too much to pass up.

Tried Jacked one time back in school. My buddy who was big into working out made me take it with him at 10PM before we went out for the night. [laughing] I was grinding on the dance floor grinding my teeth until 3AM

- Have been absolutely addicted to the Chris Watts ordeal since mid-November; guy kills pregnant wife and two kids in Colorado. YouTube has tons of videos with body cams, porch cams, etc. You can literally watch the whole thing unfold (loading up the bodies from neighbor's cam, cops body cam when he comes home and they search the house, the surreal video of him watching the neighbor's porch cam of him loading his truck and his nervous reactions). Guy kills his family around 5am and then it all starts to fall apart later that day. All over a hussy. Just a crazy thing to watch.

- Underrated 80s artist: Howard Jones
"Like to Get to Know You Well"
"No One is to Blame"
"Things Can Only Get Better"
"What is Love"
"Everlasting Love"
"Life in One Day"

- Bourbon purchases of the month: Old Fo 1920 (as good as advertised here; possible Top 3 when my bourbon polls are released) and New Riff (on the fence, but they are fairly new and may need time).

- Went to Pop's Resale on Leestown for a gift for my buddy that loves vinyl. Went in hoping to get out of there in 5-10 minutes, ended up staying an hour looking all the vintage stuff he had. Left with Sinatra and Dean Martin LPs and planning a trip back. Felt like I was in Buffalo Bill's basement, but was very cool.

- GAMBOL picks for the weekend:

NFL
Bears -5.5, Chargers +2, Texas -1, Seahawks +2

Sham Stakes at Santa Anita (Derby Prep): (#1) Sueno 20-1 and (#6) Gunmetal Gray 5/2 OVER ALL

If I need good financial advice, I typically bend my ear towards people who don’t have any money. Anyone else?
Big difference between having no income and no money don't you think?

Look, I'm just trying to help people make a lot of money as long as they are willing to hold the stock long term. All it takes is a little research to see that it is a tremendous buying opportunity at the current levels.

Thanks Chief, any update on Fannie Mae?
Funny you should ask. Treasury Sec Mnuchin has said that housing is a top priority in 2019. Many pro Fannie people are in influential positions now. If they go with the Moelis plan, which was done by one of Trump's closest advisors, then it will be a nice little payday.

* "Do you want room for cream?"

No. The answer is always no, because "room for cream" has suddenly become "here's your half full coffee." Don't cheat me out of my full 20 ounces, *******.

* My town's mayor had a special visitor over the weekend -- Evander Holyfield, who was in town for the Sugar Bowl. The cheesy grinning photo ops with him came with the social media caption:

"A world champion visited City Hall and reminded us of lessons learned from his mother. What we tell our children, how we treat them and guide them will shape their lives forever."

He has TWELVE kids with six different women, and has previously been held in contempt of court for failing to pay child support.

Good lord. Was Orenthal James not available??

* What ever happened to The Fray? Be honest with yourself: they had some real bangers.

* True story -- my financial advisor called me yesterday, and was mumbling something about Brexit and international funds. He doesn't know it yet, but he's fittin to be replaced by a low-cost mutual fund. When an algorithm can outwork you, you're no longer useful.

* I've know who David Goggins is for years, but never really been a huge fan. To me, he's always been like the Gary Vaynerchuck of exercise. I don't really need someone with diesel running thru their veins yelling at me, telling me I'm a *****, and that I need to work harder. BUT.....

https://www.richroll.com/podcast/david-goggins-413/

…..here's a GREAT interview he just did on the Rich Roll podcast. Amazing guy, and for some reason just came off (to me) better than I'd ever heard him before. Bought his (self published) book, too.

* December, basketball wise, is such a f'ing drag. The start of SEC play got me like [insert cute, fun picture onto social media].
