If I'm choosing at #1 in the draft, I'll take the guy who played in a bowl game his team would not have won without him and dominated the game when nobody would've blamed him for sitting it out over the guy who had a minor injury and then milked it to avoid the entire second half of the season. That's a pretty damn good argument Josh Allen just made for himself. Not a lot of guys would've taken that chance.

Well said.

Had to google it to find out - to me it seemed like a compliment that we're good again (?) although I see many in BBN taking it badly and U of L board is lighting up on that. [eyeroll]

The ONLY player I would consider taking above Josh Allen is Quinnen Williams. That dude is a straight nightmare on the college level. Raiders pick 4th overall, so I'm sure both will already be gone.

Like everyone else on this forum, this was the greatest UK Football season of my lifetime. I was too young for 1976-77, and being on probation DQs that for me anyway. Best defensive player and running back in program history on the same team for 3 years. It's been a fun ride, Mark.

Watching old Chappelle Shows instead of the Sugar Bowl. I stand by this decision.

Good riddance, Urban.

Decided to hit a flick with my little brother. Bumblebee's first 2 minutes was better then all the other live action transformers movies combined.

Did we really just win 10 games? What?

I couldn't decide whether to laugh or to cringe when the usually very smooth Chris Fowler kept talking about how much UW's comeback must be causing stress to Urban. [laughing]:grimace:

This Georgia just kept us from getting an outside shot at a top 10 end of season ranking.

Was hoping for some variation of this
  1. Bama
  2. Clemson
  3. Oklahoma
  4. Notre Dame
  5. Georgia
  6. Ohio St
  7. Florida
  8. LSU
  9. Wash St
  10. Kentucky
Instead, I’m worried we’ll get this:
  1. Bama
  2. Clemson
  3. Oklahoma
  4. Notre Dame
  5. Ohio St
  6. Florida
  7. LSU
  8. Texas
  9. Wash St
  10. Georgia

Boys, enjoy this like we have been. We may never see it again. I love it. I haven’t been happier since I can remember.

-Bowl Gambol has been :fire::fire::fire: . Typically always do well, despite watching very little of it. The formula is simple = fade the teams/games that look to be competitive on paper, but feature a squad disappointed/letdown to be there, which is often the 'better' team.

-Last mid-week without a CBB game til April, thank God.

-Jealous of all the people who come back to work on the 2nd raring to go. Much like me coming back from a regular vacation feeling the *opposite* of "refreshed and recharged", it's just not in my DNA. Monday is hopefully that day for me this year?

-Curious to see where Romeo Langford falls in the draft, and how he does on the next level. Dude is as silky smooth as they come with the ball, but I almost feel like he's too smooth. Plus, he's shooting 21% from deep, ouch. I expect that will change, as his stroke is too pretty for that to keep up (much like Herro's early struggles). He's no longer auto Top 5 though, in fact, I don't see him Top 5 on *any* mocks at this point, and behind Keldon Johnson just about everywhere.

Morgan, on the other hand, is outstanding. Epitome of what can happen over a 4 year career. Man it'd be awesome to see PJ be able to do that.

-NYE was fun, Masquerade Ball theme this year. Had essentially retired from getting out for it until the new house -- being able to roll across in a golf cart, have some fun, and be home in 90 seconds after the ball drop without dealing w/ the general public & inconvenient transportation really has changed my attitude about the whole deal.

-Pretty sure I read every article, take, etc that is available about the Bowl Win. Reading the props from "SEC people" (both media and fanbases) is especially satisfying.

What a fitting end for a special group of players who've completely changed the arc and perception of this program. "We're Legends" is absolutely :100points: in this instance.

-Happy New Year GYERO!

* Happy New Year, internet friends!

* It was so great seeing you all at the Royal Wedding. What a touching great time. That is the most fun I've had in ages. And man, GYERO married some good looking girls. The ladies were all gorgeous.

I had the perfect buzz all night. Drunk enough to stupidly waddle, wobble and jiggle on the dance floor, but no hangover or anything.

Pope, it was awesome, my man.

* 10 wins. Are you serious? Wow. You guys are crazy.

What a season. The stars played like stars yesterday. Who is going to step up next year?

* Extremely low key NYE. Worked until 6:30, picked up a sushi boat for Marge and me and watched a movie after the kids went to bed. Getting old is weird.

* Let's pick up a big road dubya at Bama and keep this train rollin'. Herro and Johnson play with energy and a little swagger. It's rubbing off. I'm loving the shortened rotation and defined roles. Richards, Baker and Montgomery are coming in and contributing with their minutes and I think we are going to see Quickly take a big step up soon.

* 2019.

One thing that makes this year even more special. We always said for a season like this to happen we'd need a down year in the East and a good draw from the West.

SEC East will end up with 2 top 10 teams and 6 bowl teams with Tennessee being 1 win away from a bowl.

Both of our West teams will likely be in the top 25.

Between the Florida win and yesterday I can safely say that was the most overall enjoyable athletic season I’ve had in my lifetime. Obviously Kentucky basketball brings a lot of joy when they’re cutting down the nets and all, but those seasons come with way too much skress and chest pain. I love the football team more, but I don’t have that horrible burden feeling when I watch them. Just ecstatic for those guys. What a group.

Today is much harder than the day after Xmas. Probably because with the day after Xmas you still have a few holidays left in the holster. Now, it’s the dog days of winter. Only thing left is the desperate attempts at eating healthy and exercising and late night SEC tips and chest pain I previously mentioned.

Tyler Childers just absolutely slaps this time of year tho. He has replaced Zac Brown for me. Zac has really let me down. Absolutely disappointed in what he’s done.

Youth baseball draft is 2 months from today.
