It is absolutely amazing what a great Kentucky Basketball win will do for one's psyche. Had a rough couple of months, and this morning I'm bouncing around the house, Beasties and Paul's Boutique blasting in the background, acting like a complete goofball and driving my kids nuts. And it was all because of that amazing ***-kicking yesterday!!!

Best give Alfonso an attribution for his dance or he may sue you.

Remember after the Utah game when Cal said “we’re not going to shoot 25 to 30 threes a game?”

Today, they shot 26 threes and they pulled off their biggest win of the season.

True, but the majority of them came within the flow of the offense. We weren't jacking them up like Pitino's Bombinos. We got good looks from 3 and inside bc we moved the ball. Cal wasn't preventing that. He kept encouraging it and it finally took hold. The guy knows what he's doing.

A lot of those 3's (especially the first 30 minutes) were in transition or on the secondary break, actually.

Based on his/her prior posts, my understanding was that Cayts74 or whatever was someone else from KSR, not Jones.

Now that you mention it, it did kind of come across as a whiny, validation-seeking explanation in the mold of Tyler Thompson. So could be?

I would go back and look at it, however, the post was deleted and I only have a portion of it screenshot.

Either way, it's chickenshit.

Our Brisket can be great but only when CB is the chef. Next time you are coming let me know And I will tell you if he is in

Wings are always good...I am amazed how good they are actually. Catfish and burgers good...ribs still really aren’t yet

That’s my honest take. BBQ chips for app

:eyes:

Weird turn of events. It’s either MJ, Franklin, or...Ryan Lemond?

Idk how the bar cooks the brisket, but can it be great? Do they sous vide it? Egg it? Who is Chef CB?

  • Love the Hagans, Herro, Johnson, Travis, Washington line-up. Washington and Travis show some flashes of Daniels and Hayes, Johnson's a star, Herro - especially if he starts hitting - is a scorer, and I can't say enough about Hagans The pieces fit.
  • Also love that we're getting down to a good rotation. College basketball and below is meant to be played with a 7-8 man rotation. If you're not in that group, sorry, but know your role.
  • In the same vein, my daughter's a cheerleader for her school's 4th and 5th grade basketball team. There are 12 players on the basketball team, so other than the only two kids on the team that can handle the ball, every kid (and their parents) are pissed off about playing time. Who thought that a team of 12 players at that age is a good idea?
  • The takes on here (good or bad) towards UK basketball have been mostly defensible except one, and that’s any negativity towards Reid Travis. We'd be in big trouble without him.

I do think that we started the year with a misuse of RT.

...initiating the offense with him in the high post is not pretty. But moving that bruiser baseline and letting him catch and finish dimes from PJ and our guards, wrecking the offensive glass, and pinning guys down on the block after ball reversal ===> now that’s a thing of beauty. And he has the coolest reaction on the team for when things go well, that “they can’t deal with me” smirk and head nod. BMFer.

He was a black hole early. Best guess is his instincts were built on being the focal point of the offense and he wasnt used to trusting more talented guys around him. Not wanting him in the game was silly though. So productive. He gets the other teams bigs in full trouble seems like every game.

The most obvious difference out of the gate was the team playing as a cohesive unit, not five guys who just met at the park yesterday. Refreshing to see spacing, ball movement and effort all ratcheted up from the jump.

Also helps to have a semblance of an offense and properly using your bigs.

So the most recognized sports talk show host in the state and voice of all things UK, who frequents this board from time to time creates a burner account to defend his laughable Herro take, flies in here under said account to defend himself, immediately gets busted, then deletes it in hopes no one makes the connection. I got that right? What a wafer-thin skinned *****. Have fun running for public office!

Well after a decade of posting on here and being friendly with everyone, this seems insanely harsh for one post, but ok.

That was me by the way. That Cayts account is a collective one that we all use at KsR to read HOB and just keep up with the discussions here. I was accidentally logged in as that and thought I was under my own name. If after 13 years of literally spending my entire life giving and defending my opinion, you think I would feel the need to have an anonymous message board poster do it to defend myself with a small group of folks that I actually already know (and who hate anonymous outsiders), so be it. But that would be fairly stupid on my part. Bonzo Cat (who I don’t know), ending with the political shot today suggests that is probably what drove the anger on some level.

I deleted the comments bc we were hoping to keep that account as having no posts, but clearly that is out the window now. I only really post on here under my name bc (a) I like having a place where people don’t harp on every single word I say with vitriol, anger and “you stupid liberal” bc of disagreement about sports (b) I can drop some hints here I can’t in other places and (c) bc I like some of these folks a lot. If the conspiracy theory of me using a burner account is a better story though, feel free to go with it. It is more entertaining

Merry Christmas to everyone. Yesterday’s game was fun

Have you fired the chefs other than CB that can’t cook a brisket yet?
CB is the man haha. That issue has improved a lot. The thing that has shocked me the most about the restaurant is that the food is legit good. A very pleasant surprise

I still stick by the take btw, Herro isn’t a great passer and is a poor defender (although he is good at getting in passing lanes). He has the potential to be an elite scorer and is a decent Rebounder. When he doesn’t shoot well, he is a liability (which I tweeted during the game)...but when he shots as he did in last 25 minutes (after he started 1-7), he is huge for this team.

Yesterday was a great performance overall by all 5 starters

So is the dude who makes the good brisket working next Sunday? I have a bunch of out of town guests who want to watch the Saints game coming. What time should they get there to get a good seat?

I would assume an educated man with a real interest in politics would understand the coverup is always worse than the crime.

It's GYERO, Matt. Have a take and don't suck. You sucked and tried to remove your take. You were hammered just like anyone else. You don't get any special treatment here.

Get over it.

You’ve met me multiple times, most recently in the Bahamas this summer when you and your crew saddled up with the Schems, Beans and I, all slamming extry tall sex on the beach cocktails and trying to get those ****** to sleep with Shannon the Dude.

Tip of the cap tho for admitting your entire operation is doing the modern day equivalent of splicing cable with HOB. Glad you finally saw fit to throw the small monthly fee JDrum & companies way after all these years.

Also, I’ve never given a political take in here the decade plus I’ve been around. About as middle of the road as they come and don't think this is the forum for said topic.

Good grief, people. Who gives a **** if he deleted it? Everyone is entitled to a basketball opinion and changing their mind in hindsight. Nobody on here is John Wooden despite what some of you think.

We just soundly beat a good Carolina team, we’re seeing we may have the makings of really good team and play Louisville in 6 days. Merry Christmas!
