Imagine being in 2018 and not being able to watch your Power 5 college football team on a regular cable package. I forgot Louisville football existed between the Georgia Tech and Clemson games.

this is just a staggering lack of self-awareness. My goodness.
Their university - their entire city - is in OUR state.
So F em.

“Begging for Karma”

Jamal Murray with 48 pts tonight (and still a few seconds left in the game) against Boston.

Too bad Louisville football isn't in position to deal any karma to anyone. Let's piss on the bird at midfield and see if Puma and the ghost of Bobby Petrino can do anything about it.
30 years ago we opened the season against Duke. They were #1 and we were at the dawn of doom. It was 40-40 at halftime before they blasted us 80-55. I remember watching that game feeling hopeless. I feel better about tonight.
Kyrie Irvin on Murray trying to score 50 as time ran down "It was a ***** move." OK Kyrie, you just move up into the most hated list. What a little the earth is flat *****.

That team should have been better than 13-19. We had three guys who played in the NBA on that squad.
Worried about the way this one goes tonight. I'm afraid our bigs are going to have a tough way to go. From what little I've seen, Duke's bigger guys play above the rim and ours play around the rim. Bizarro world. Duke will be more talented but raw. UK will have more skill and experience.
I'll be blunt - I can't see K thriving with a team like this. It's completely out of his wheelhouse.
Zion will be a load, but in my mind, GROWN!!! Man Reid Travis makes all the difference - tonight and this season.
RT will occupy Zion and free up PJ to do what he does.
Let's go.

Let's go.
*My biggest concern is the odd way Duke is built with 3 wings. We really have one true wing man.
*I think PJ has to be big on both ends of the floor tonight.
*Would like to see Reid punish whoever is guarding him on the block early and often. I trust that dude.
*I’m not sure either of our freshmen point guards are ready yet, need some leadership from Quade.
*i know people want to press and I get it...but I’m not sure that team can execute in the half court. I’m not sure we want Zion and Barrett our running and getting a head of steam. Make them run a half court set or hit a 3.
Finally, a big shoutout to the Shems for another great tailgate experience. The crew has essentially perfected tailgating.

* Didn't realize how hot the market had gotten for certain bourbons in the Commonwealth, so I stopped by my favorite locally owned grocery store (Dorignac's) last night to peep their supply. Several bottles of Kentucky Owl (why is that stuff so expensive??), full stock of green label Weller. Huge selection there -- just a different beast away from Kentucky.
* I'll say it --> I hate this game being so soon. We still have like 2 months of football left.
* Let's get a heads up from you attendees on the BLUE WAVE today. What's the ratio? 10-to-1 Kentucky fans?? Backwards Hat Guy been spotted yet? J Bruce and C Leavell ride up together?
* I just absolutely despise Duke. By nature, their fan support HAS to be bandwagon. You didn't go to school there. Your family didn't go to school there. You're not from Durham. WTF? F you.
* Tuesday 5....
filthy and fried (drive by truckers)
feathered indian (tyler childers)
pipe bomb dream (turnpike troubadours)
using again (Benjamin tod)
maybe its time (Bradley cooper)
* Dan Wetzel just continuing to pound Bill Self into submission....

* Freshman year, my Chicago buddies had several of their high school friends come in from Miami of Ohio for the Final Four weekend. They all bought cheap *** t-shirts off some homeless guy on the street to wear around and show their newly found Kentucky basketball enthusiasm, and to fit in with the rest of the co-eds.
front = UTAH SUCKS
back = DUKE SWALLOWS
Would pay upwards of $250 for the original screen printing of that gem right now.

At the Champions Classic in 2012 un Atlanta, I took an informal poll among people wearing Duke gear, politely asking how they became Duke fans.
Did you or a family member attend Duke?
Did you grow up in North Carolina?
Do you live there now?
As you might expect, I got nothin'.
Can't argue with a scientifically sound poll.

My favorite move is the Duke fandom quiz. It's one question long.
"Who was Duke's head coach before K?"
I've yet to find a Duke fan who's gotten it right.
You missed the most important question.
Are you from Kentucky and cheer for Duke because you want to be a little piss ant contrarian?
That's 95% of all Duke fans I know.
Century's quiz fixation is my hatboggan, for real. Need an ornery SOB like him to get up in those North Carolina gaf's business every once in a while.
Here's another great one --> have you, or has anyone you know ever attended a game at Duke?
Of course not.
F you.

Key tonight will be KJ on Barrett. I just hope KJ doesn't go out and try to make it him v/s Barrett. Let the game come to you young man. Oh and no stupid turnovers, keep to's under 10, we win.
Nope. We've already got an EJ & PJ, don't need a KJ.
Just a reminder, gang: your vote today will NOT be counted if you don’t post a selfie with your “I voted” sticker on Facebook
I know I'm going to go full red@ss tonight the first over-exaggerated after obvious minimal contact Duke flop I see that draws the ref's call for a charge.
Which inevitably means I'm going to be full red@ss within 2 minutes of tipoff.

I just voted. Each time I filled in a circle I envisioned myself punching Chief in the face. It was a positive experience.
I'm thinking bet the over tonight. We have no one who matches up well with Reddish or Zion. I love Travis, but he can't jump and Zion jumps out of the gym. Meanwhile, they have four freshmen who will be guarding college basketball players for the first time and some random fifth guy who we should isolate and destroy at every opportunity. I think the gas pedal for both teams is pressed to the floor.
With Calipari screaming “GOOOOOO!!!” and flapping his arms in the air, it’s gonna be tough to do anything but go full throttle.
The only certainty tonight is that the game wont tip off until after 10PM.
