* Our emotions get in the way of rational thinking, which is what leads me to believe pre-game that Kentucky can soundly defeat the '85 Bears, but the way it unfolded was about what you could rationally expect. We didn't run the ball well, and our defense couldn't make the big plays to keep it close. It was more of a sobering reality check than anything.
At least we lost in stylish fashion with those anthracite unis....

*If Duke gets in any type of foul trouble, we will run them out of the building. If we can't guard dribble penetration, it'll be a long and red-assed night for us.

*Went on a 4 couple Nashville outing on Saturday. The game, Top Golf, dinner, bars, etc... Drank steadily from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m. and still feel like someone jumped off the top rope and hit me across the face with a chair. I'm way out of practice on those kinds of days/nights, but it was a hell of a lot of fun except for the game.

*We ate a late breakfast at The Nashville Jam Company, and I had quite possibly my favorite breakfast ever. Highly recommend.

*It's been a year since I've moved and I still haven't changed my address on my license, strictly due to laziness. Not sure if I'll even be able to vote tomorrow, but I'm going to try to do it at my old location.

*It sucks losing to Georgia, but I was over it almost instantly. Even if we have shed the skin of a college football leper, we are still facing a significant talent gap between us and elite teams. That gap is unlikely to ever go away, so I'm just enjoying the **** out of this season. A realistic chance at 10-2 and an NY 6 bowl is just so incredibly inconceivable, I'm not letting a little *** whipping from one of the 2 or 3 best teams in the country going to bother me that much.

*November rain sucks. The weather, not the song.

I know everyone on here hates Western, but they're an intriguing team this year. You can catch the second half of their game against Washington after UK/Duke. Bassey and Hollingsworth (no UKO) will be a pretty sick combo, along with Desean Murray (if he ever gets to play). They could be damn good, or crash and burn from typical Stansbury stuff...cheat your *** off, your players go wild off the court, the two biggest fattest guys in cbb fight each other during a game. You know, the usual stuff.

This is an all-timer on Saturday. Yeah, winning the East would have been cool, but we would have gotten our dicks stomped in the dirt against Bama - and that would have sucked. But we go 3-0 down the stretch and we're in a Selection Committee Bowl, which, I never thought would happen. But if we lose to UT, it will validate all the losers who said we just got lucky.

There’s actually downside this week, but yea, plenty of upside with taking care of business in Knoxville.

Tyler Herro is our best passer - TS. He's really the only guy (so far) who actively seems to look forReid/Washington on the block and uses pretty good angles to get them the ball. Also is our best DDMO player since Lamb and really seems to understand where the release valve guy is when a help defender comes over. He'll lead the team in lob assists by a decent margin, IMO.

- I actually think the starting 5 matters and tbqh I don't think Cal has ever placed enough value on getting out to a good start but whatever, man. I digress.

Quickley Quade Keldon Peej Travis --

Bring ya boy Herro and Hagans off the bench for a nice O/D change of pace/shot in the arm and let Richards fly around not worrying about picking up those early 2 before first media TO.

^ You're welcome

- Who is going to Neyland? Trying to figure out a quick 'same day' trip but I don't have anyone to go with. SADFACE. Eff Tennessee. Tickets look cheap. Anyone interested?

- Wizards are 2-7. Blow it up, Ern. And how long goes Luke Walton get if the Lakers keep sucking? He'll be out by Christmas -- book it.

- Excited to see Zion and super interested how he'll match up with our guys.

I’m not mad about losing to Georgia one bit. Would’ve been cool to play in Atlanta but it’s whatev, imo. Losing to Tennessee or Louisville would really sting. Probably would be pissed about that. At the end of the day tho, 10-2 or 9-3 is really something. HAVING SAID THAT, Pat forde and some other national media guys shitting on Kentucky and the fan base for only being the 2nd best team in the East is pretty rich. OH NO PAT GEORGIA BEAT US FOR THE SEC EAST GUESS WE SUCK THANKS 77-16

Speaking of football, my boys season ended with a championship this weekend. Oldest ran in the final touchdown, sealing the victory. Dude is absolutely beat up right now. Bruises all over the place. Every play for him was right up the gut this year. Had to earn every yard. Gotta imagine Benny snell is coping with the exact same thing. Shout out to Benny snell. On to shootyball szn

Also shout out to whoever filled in Kyle tucker on Twitter. I think he legit thinks he has a stalker, but the dude is just wayyy too easy to parody. Good sport tho

We have (2) christmas trees up. House is HELLA cozy right now. Just gotta get my ventless gas fireplace insert up and going. It’s located directly below my television set.

- Rooting hard for the Peach Bowl. NY6 game, big opponent (hopefully), hit Sweetens Cove on the way there/back... would be fantastic.

- Pretty sure I’ve gone to 10 of the last 11 games in Knoxville and (obviously) never left happy. Really looking forward to Saturday.

Well they are off to a really great start. Hollingsworth suspended 1 game for possession of weed, and Josh Anderson for disorderly conduct. (He was drunk dancing in the street, and yelling at police.)

Few episodes into the new House of Cards, not bad, sans Spacey.

I don’t feel bad for Anth very often, but I did post game. Ran into some old Delt bros and they came over. Haven’t hung out with these guys collectively since college. So here we are, telling stories, talking over people, and there stands Anth, looking just lost in his own yard. I think he realized quickly he was never gonna get to speak and just went inside. So, sorry I guess but thanks for hosting, we had a blast.

Sounds awesome.

Especially the 'talking over people' part.

I mean, one plus was these were older guys so not the same stories he’s used to hearing. Kind of like the Star Wars prequal, before they blew up the Death Star.

I wasn't there, but it sounds like Anth's yard was much more akin to Dario Argento's Inferno, after Suspiria but before The Mother of Tears, given the Delt presence.

Hope that really makes the situation clear.

Brad is redshirting

Pumped for Brad that he can get his undergrad and grad school paid for by playing basketball at the University of Kentucky. Being good enough to earn a scholarship at such a powerhouse really opens up doors for these kids.

Although, it kind of sucks that we'll have the best shooter on the team stuck on the bench during a year in which we might win #9. Hopefully, we won't regret this decision when we're down 3 with 10 seconds to play in the Final Four.

If a Brad redshirt means that we lock Cal up for one more year, it's all good. How many redshirts can we offer him? Can he be the first to run through the senior day hoop with his doctorate?

Speaking of... "prequal"

Didn't Brassow get 6 years due to a knee injury? Any of you want to play Tonya Harding to Brad's Nancy Kerrigan?

Just realized that UofL football and the ACC TV deal are so awful our game may not be on regular TV.

But I don't have ACC TV.

* We don't have school the next 2 days here. So today I took the team to the local YMCA and had them do about 4 hours of community service (washing walls, cleaning floors, painting hand rails, landscaping work, etc). We didn't have any Bahamian kids' feet to wash, but I feel these guys did their community proud. I didn't do a thing to set this up so it's really no credit to me (although I did do some push mowing!).

One the parents asked if we should do something like this and I thought it was a great idea. So she set this day up and the coordinators at the Y had people there to make sure the kids stayed busy. Out of all the guys that are practicing with us right now, every single one of them showed up.

Tomorrow the teachers come in for a scheduled "work" day while the kids stay out.

I feel like the millennial age/generation is about to give way to whatever today's teenagers are going to be. Not sure what that means or even if it is a good thing. I do think younger teens these days look at the word "millennial" with negative connotations and may try to steer their ship in an opposite direction. Shaved faces and fewer neck tats may be all that comes from it, but at least it's a start(?)

Isn’t the ACC network the equivalent of Jefferson Pilot but on the WB network? Like 027-02?
